We found Heritage Hall for my ex-husband. I have been quite pleased with it. It is an older building, it is kept clean, and I haven't seen any patients that are unclean. My ex-husband is not always easy to keep clean, but they take very good care of him. His medicines are taken care of too. They're doing well with him. The food is adequate. It is not gourmet, but it is good, healthy food. They do something almost everyday. They have Bingo, holiday-specific activities, cooking classes, and even a Veterans Day celebration. Today, everybody got Valentine's Day balloons.

I looked at Heritage Hall Virginia Beach. It is a large place, but I like the smallness of the other community. The rooms were fine. They had both semi-private and private rooms that were a nice size. They had a big dining area, a therapy room, and a beauty shop. The lady that took us around knew the residents. She was speaking to them by name. It was very impressive that residents were people and not just another number.

My dad is at this facility to rehabilitate the therapist and front office staff are nice and caring the nurses act like they care and concerned when my family there when we leave they don't change my dad his brief was drenched with urine on two occasions this is why I would never put my parents in a facility to depend on anyone because they do it for the money

I am currently a resident at HH having arrived in May 2016. I am very thankful to G-d to have a roof over my head, food to eat and miminal nursing/care provided by the staff, however, There are very few staff that are truly caring (skilled, good attitude, healing touch). Many of the staff are rude, uncaring, hurtful physically and emotionally. I have been given the incorrect medicine multiple times in the past. Several days, I have not receive a bath. Since arriving, I have not receive a weekly shower in the shower room. (They don't have the necessary equipment needed). Several times I have run out of pain medicine and baby powders due to ineffective nursing/medicine management. Every ninty days, a careplan meeting is held in which department heads talk about your condition and state their opinions which are maintained in a book. Lies have been told about me and documented in this book. As a resident, we have no recourse, no documentation in this book that we disagree with statements made. I have been humilated by CNAs as they were cleaning me after bowl movements and urination. I have been receive less than good treatment from staff and other residents for being Jewish, a Conservitive Republican, and morbidly obese. I want to thank G-d and ask him to richly bless Ashley, Nickey, Molly, Ms. Bishop, Ms. Augustine,Christina, Beverly, Ms. Goodman, Sonja, Debbie, Jenifer,Meme, Jay. Kita, Joe and Anthony. They are a blessing and a light of hope in what can be a very dark place.

My mother is there overall a good facility but the social worker there yelled at me on the phone because of her failure to communicate transportation guidelines to me for medicaid. Because of her poor unprofessional behavior i gave this facility a low score

I have also been to Heritage Hall. I think the people there are a little needier, health-wise. They need a little more care, but I have seen a lot of mopping going on there, and the people are again very friendly. My friend needs more personal attention with her private problems, and sometimes I have seen her wait a good while to get help there. The food, I think, is adequate. Everybody is very friendly, they play Bingo, and they have other activities and birthday parties. I know there is somebody there that comes and does her hair. I would give this place a three just because it is a little more nursing home type, which I don't think I would go there personally, but I know people go there for rehab sometimes too.

The reason we chose Heritage Hall was its availability. Right now, everything is acceptable. We’ve not had much exposure; we just moved here a few days ago. The staff was very accommodating, helpful, and informative. Everything went well. We’ve seen the accessibility to the activities; it’s just time to determine her participation.

My grandmother is in Heritage Hall. The staff wasn’t attentive to her. They hadn’t changed her and were not attentive to her. The food is not bad but she can’t feed herself and none of the nurses came over to feed her. She’s always in her room. It’s just a regular room but spacious room. They need to care more for their patients.

this facility however friendly has it's issues. not enough knowledgeable nurses. my father was there and his doctors medical orders were mis-read twice, and he ended up in hospital because of it. I made it a point to visit at different times of day. one night I witnesses staff members so loud laughing and joking that no one could sleep through it. one aide was actually dancing. I stayed over and hour and they never let up. I also aske dwhy I smelled smoke and one nurse told me it was coming through the vent because aides were outside smoking. Moved my dad immediately. The Director is rarely around to discuss, and even if she is, nothing is done.
