"My mother-in-law is staying in Mulberry Creek Nursing & Rehab Center, and I think it's pretty good. Their visiting is limited because of the pandemic. It's very hard to make a judgment about the nursing care or anything that I've observed, but I will tell you that she seems to be pleased with the nursing care. The nurses are always prompt and call me to let me know if there have been any changes, if they've changed any medication, or if she's not feeling well. I've been very pleased with that. You can only visit for 30 minutes twice a week, so it's kind of hard to judge what's going on, but she seems to be comfortable and taken care of. We've had very little interaction with the staff, but they do call me and let me know if there are changes in her condition. They're very positive, very accurate, and they're very kind."

"My biggest reason for choosing Blue Ridge Manor was proximity to my niece. My mother likes the food. The atmosphere seems very good, the staff is very nice, and the residents have been very nice too. The rooms seem very nice, very bright and clean. "

"I would have loved to known about the Day Care earlier in mom's disease process. They work so hard with their clients. Mom recently started there in November 2011 and in her advanced stage of Alzheimers I can tell a difference in her on the one day a week that she attends. They have different activities all day, Some of these include music, pet, physical, occupational therapy. Moms favorite activity is baking cookies and painting. She always tells everyone she loves them before she leaves. They deserve a BIG high five! Awesome! If I won this gift I think I would go see a movie and have a quiet lunch. "

"I visited this facility in April 2012 to see my aunt. She was on the South end of the facility. I found everyone there to be very friendly. The receptionist at the door greeted us and knew exactly what room my aunt was in. As we walked down the hall, the area smelled like what could have possibly been dirty diapers or human odor. I'm sure that that's common in facilities such as this, and I only smelled it on my way in and not my way out. My aunt was in good spirits and said everyone there had been real nice to her. She had just finished eating and said the food wasn't too bad considering where she was. We stayed about an hour or so until my cousin came in to visit and as I had my wife and four children with me which was a room full in a semi private room, I politely excused us and we made our way back to the front. All the nurses and aides seemed friendly and played with my children. The facility did appear clean throughout. All in all, if I had to go to a facility of this nature, I believe I would like it to be this one. "

"Harmony Hall has improved SO MUCH this year! It's exciting! The atmosphere of the entire place has greatly improved. People are happy like never before. The dining room is being removed and looks fabulous! They have more activities than they have had before. They have much better food....I ate Bar-B-Q up ribs there last week. People were going back for 2nd and 3rd plates of food. So blessed to have my family member here!!! "

For country living in a secluded neighborhood TLC Adult Home has the ideal atmosphere for your loved one. LC Adult Home has obtained a state license in residential and assisted living, therefore we are expected to follow procedures and regulations originated and amended by the state. We have regular unannounced visits by Social Services as well as the Health Department. Our home is very spacious with hardwood floors, easy for safe ambulation. The family room has cathedral ceilings and a rock fireplace giving it a comfortable setting for activities as well as visiting with family members and friends. We serve 3 hot meals daily along with snacks. Quarterly visits by a registered dietitian to meet nutritional needs. As well as professional hairdresser services. Laundry service and pharmacy delivery is also provided for our residents. We also offer 2 large walk-in showers that are handicapped accessible along with a Jacuzzi bath. All living facilities are on the ground floor. We provide 24 hour care 7 days a week. "My aunt was there. Staff were friendly and attentive. Rehab team got her back to doing things for herself that she hadn’t done in years. "

"We've been to The Bayberry Inn 3 times, and my mom's already got a room reserved. It's closer to where we're gonna be living, she didn't wanna be too far away that she couldn't drive to our house. It was the closest one we can find that's suitable to her. The staff is excellent they're the best; real friendly and nice. It's a small community, they only have 21 rooms so it's small, and they treat them like family. It's very clean, in excellent condition, and actually the room mom is getting is being painted, and new carpet, new tile in the bathroom, and they're gonna steam clean the curtains, and they take real good care of it. They've had no COVID in there at all, and they're picky of who comes to visit. It's just an excellent place. The layout is all indoors, and momma wouldn't have to go out in the weather to go somewhere and visit somebody, and now she does. It just got a nice, real nice homely feeling to it. They clean the rooms every day if you want them, they supply furniture, but mom wants to bring her own, and they take them on trips, they do games, crafts, bingo, and chair exercises."

"I have found a place for my aunt. It's called North Pointe of Mayodan. I like it. When you go in the door, on one side, it's kind of assisted living, but if you go to the left, they have another door, and it's locked where they can't get out. It's for dementia care. They got rooms and all in their facilities and stuff, and I like that. The staff were nice and friendly. They acted like they care about the people. They showed me both assisted living and memory care. I'm really satisfied."

"I think this facility is pretty good. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The food is not so great but of course it could be what grandma has to eat. I do have a problem with them not turning her like they should She has developed a bed sore and they do not turn her properly. The overall cleaning is ok. I think they could be a lot cleaner. It would also help if they removed some of the stuff out of the hallway. There are stretchers, carts, wheel chairs and misc items all over the hallway. Sometimes the patients are rather rude but I guess it is because they have major problems. They rarely taker her outside and she loves the outdoors. It is in a fairly decent location in Danville though. Most places in the area seem to be in sketchy neighborhoods but this one is not so bad. "
