My father is in Runk & Pratt at Leesville Rd. The care is wonderful. It's like a family atmosphere. His room is absolutely clean and very comfortable. I'm sitting in it right now. They have arts, crafts, and music, and they have a patio. They have a whole calendar of stuff every day.

This is a nice, but small assisted living. If you want nursing care do not go here. The salesman is excellent but he totally oversold this facility. They do not have enough staff, though they are very nice. There is only an occasional nurse or nurse practitioner, no doctor actually comes. The food and activities are good. This is a great place for people in wheelchairs who are healthy.

I toured Runk & Pratt at Leesville Rd. It was considered assisted living, but on my tour of that facility, it was more of a nursing home environment. My in-laws would have not gone there because they would have felt like we were just putting them in a nursing home. It was more of a nursing home environment and not an assisted living/retirement community, so I didn't care for it as much. It was more clinical and not more social. The tour was good. The staff was very knowledgeable. I went through several of the rooms, and I went through their dining facility. The guy doing the tour was great. They had rooms that were like a kitchenette, a bathroom, and a living room. It was a smaller facility, so the rooms weren't as nice as they were at the other place. They have a beauty salon, a courtyard, and a social area, but it was on a smaller scale.

We needed to get a room just within a couple of days' notice and Runk & Pratt at Leesville Rd had a vacancy and they were excellent to work with. They were very helpful, but sometimes, it takes a while for them to respond to my husband's call. The food looks very good. He is getting physical therapy there, but he doesn't take part in any of the activities. His room is very neat and very attractive. They have a salon and several dining areas that are small and cozy, but very attractive. They have a front porch, but he doesn't want to go outside.

Runk & Pratt at Leesville Rd was a lot smaller. They were in the process of finishing up a whole wing of brand-new rooms. The staff members were friendly. It's a good location because I work right beside it. It's near restaurants, and the church is right next door.

My father has moved into Runk & Pratt at Leesville Rd. My dad prefers a smaller community and it's a smaller facility. He feels more comfortable with a smaller group of people, and everyone there has been very friendly and professional. The staff members have all been consistent, and appear to really care about the residents there. It is an older building, but it's well cared for. It's always clean. My dad loves the food. They have different activities throughout the day. The thing that my dad likes the most is the small community, the friendliness of the staff, and the caring nature of the staff. The staff is consistent. The nursing staff is consistent. They really appear to care about the clients, and it helps my family to feel comfortable knowing that he's well taken care of. They have group activities, and I think that they do outings, but my dad is not a joiner, so he hasn't quite made it to that part. The place is clean; it is just a little older. They have a barber/beauty salon, medical staff, and physical therapy. The dining area is well lit and sort of a medium size. It's restaurant style. It feels homey.

This particular facility provides similar excellent care to the other locations, but is a little smaller and more personal setting. I have seen residents come from larger communities where they were a bit overwhelmed and feel much more comfortable here as a personal preference. Love the gardening areas and the activities planned to keep these residents engaged. This is an incredible option for anyone going into assisted living that may need memory care in the future because they could just transfer to another wing in the same building when needed. Some activities include both assisted living and memory care, so it's nice to see familiar faces and not have to make yet another big change.

Extremely disappointed in the care of help a family member has been receiving since arriving. When help is called to go to bathroom no one comes in a reasonable amount of time and help has to be called multiple times. Still no one came so we were told to go in the halls and look for someone but we couldn't find anyone in the halls or nursing station. The patient will have to go in their pants unless someone from the family is there to help get them to bathroom. I ask the question "Wonder if it was you trying to go to bathroom and no one would come to help?" Patient doesn't get a bath as scheduled and we can never see the bath schedule. They will always have an excuse and won't show us the schedule so in reality I don't think the Patient gets cleaned on a regular basis. This is not acceptable care. All our family wants is for the basic needs to be met. We have to fight for everything as simple as a shower. We've talked to the administrator several times and essentially nothing gets resolved. We feel very uncomfortable when we leave that she's being taken care of in a proper manner. Don't the let building fool you. They may have it all decorated nice but the care our family member receives is subpar and very disappointing.

I would not recommend Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge. There is continually a staff shortage, a high rate of staff turnover and a very evident lack of appropriate staff training. Residents are not appropriately or thoroughly assessed to determine needs. When you call, you can rarely get anyone to answer the phones at the nurses' station. The facility may look beautiful but the care is definitely subpar. When my family and I drive away, we don't feel comfortable with our mom being in their care in assisted living. Please don't be blinded by the beauty of the facility. When you look closer, it's cheaply constructed anyway.

My father has adjusted well, and he has made friends. Him having people his age, there has been an awesome stimulation for his brain, and they're keeping him active. They're providing him three awesome meals a day. I eat there with him, and the food is delicious. They have lots of activities like social outings. I've been very pleased with everything there. The price for what he is getting was cheaper than other places, plus they have the Alzheimer's Board, and they will take him all the way through hospice. It's a place that he needed to be, and when the time comes, he can move to different places without disrupting his schedule too much. The owners come in and socialize with the residents there. We had a 4th of July luncheon and had lots of great activities. They talk to the residents and make sure everybody is OK with their services and talking to family members. We've been there for two months, and I've been very impressed with I've seen so far. The nurses communicate with me. They email me to let me know how he is doing on a weekly basis. I find Runk & Pratt to be an awesome place to live. I even plan to go there.

We went with Runk and Pratt because it is in a good location; it is centralized to our families. It's a very nice place. It's a very clean place, and they do all their cooking there. They're pretty much quite attentive. Their food is cooked in the facility, and they have their own kitchen, so it is not something that comes in on a truck. They're cooked in this all home style cooking. We didn't go anywhere else after we saw this facility. We really liked it. It was suitable to our needs, so we just went with them. My mother's been there for around a month now.

My relatives are very impressed with this facility & state that there are no assisted living facilities in their communities that are nearly as nice & clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful with the residents and respectful of they family and friends as well. Our loved one is very well tended to, happy & content. We highly recommend this facility.

I am reluctant to grant any stars to this facility but did not want it to appear that it had been overlooked. The Administrator of this facility is impossible to work with and has proven time and time again that she is more concerned about keeping beds filled than she is in providing appropriate resident care and assistance. She is manipulative and has given my family member a 30 day verbal notice in being removed from the facility when we asked questions or tried to participate in our loved ones care. She and her management staff work together to make things difficult for some families that are struggling to do what is best and right for our loved one. They have a new wing opened and a big need to keep beds filled. The Administrator does not honor POA when notifying families about resident falls and status. She does not return phone calls either. This facility should be avoided.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone and wish that I could have my loved one removed. I have witnessed lack of awareness by staff that a resident has fallen and inability to obtain ice to apply to a bleeding, open wound in a timely fashion. When I call the facility I am rarely allowed to speak to the Administrator and when I ask for a return call, my call is not returned. The term, "Memory Care" facility is misleading because the staff does not receive any specific training or continuing education to care appropriately for memory care patients. It simply means that the facility is locked and residents can not leave or enter the facility without supervision. I strongly recommend against this facility or any associated Runk & Pratt facility. It is clear that management staff does not possess a compassionate attitude toward residents or their families. On a positive note, most of the aides that care for residents are kind and although they are not trained to handle emergency situations well they do possess a caring attitude as they go about their work.
