This is a fantastic facility. It accepts medicare but none of the stigmas that seem to come with it. It also has a fantastic hospital close by. I know a gentleman who is a resident here and he loves it. He's a veteran of the second world war and he likes nothing better than to tell stories about his time in Germany fighting the good fight and saving the world from evil"ā€¯according to him. The staff are more than happy to sit with him and listen to his stories. Sometimes he meanders and forgets what he's talking about, or waxes philosophical about the war, but the staff is infinitely patient with him. I've certainly never witnessed anything from them but the highest respect. Moreover, he met a buddy in this facility he used to serve with and they spend large amounts of their time reminiscing together. More often than not, their spirited banter draws quite a crowd among the staff, other residents, and even visitors. He certainly seems happy here.
