This facility had the minimum amenities that nursing homes generally require. When walking in the door it smelled like a combination of many different odors including food, bodily fluids, and cleaning products. The staff in general were friendly, but not overly so. Some who had taken a special liking to my Grandmother were more friendly to her and to the family members who visited. It was these staff members who provided the most care, and better quality of care when they were working. Our family made regular visits whether my Grandmother was conscious or not to make sure her needs were being met. Half of the time someone visited, she was not being cared for properly and members of staff on duty would be notified of the situation and expected to correct this before the family member left. I would recommend do this for anyone who has a family member in a healthcare facility. There were never any major problems, and concerns were always resolved before leaving.
