"This little facility is a hidden treasure!!! The staff seem to really care about the ppl who live there. The therapy staff were great too. My dad enjoyed getting to get stronger in therapy and then continued to visit the rehab dept to encourage others. Truly a family environment. My dad remains there and welcomes new residents to help them enjoy their stay. "

"This is an assisted living home/nursing home. I went there to visit my grandmother a few times. I stayed there and ate lunch with her. The food there was very good, and they gave decent portions. The nurses that worked there seemed really friendly but they seemed like they were pretty busy sometimes. One time I showed up there early to have breakfast with my grandma and i went into the kitchen area and there was an old man sitting at a table by himself. As I passed by him, I realized he was choking on something and his face was turning blue. I immediately called one of the workers over to help because I did not know CPR. The old man was fine, however if I had not shown up when I did he would be dead. That was my only concern with this facility. It was very nice. The rooms were very spacious and the other people staying there were friendly. "

"Jacksonville is small and clean, but they all seem caring. The place is several years old. My mom is in a private room and it is of a nice size. It’s got a bed, chest, night stand, an all-around table for her to sit and work if she wants to, a TV on the wall, a half bath, and a nice closet. She doesn’t complain about the food and she eats pretty well. "

"Twin Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center was OK. My husband's aunt passed away there. The staff was nice. It seemed clean but it was old. It was fairly small, but I think it's just average. They offer activities. I saw some of them on their calendar."

"The nurses at The Arbors Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center are very attentive. I know several people who are residents there and they get the best nursing care. That's where my mother is, too. They are excellent. They are nice and wonderful. It is a super clean and very nice facility. They do a lot of activities. They have their own physical therapist there. They played some different games. One was with a bowl and pool noodles and some exercises. They have jigsaw puzzles, dominoes, and other games. I am well pleased. They're very good with the patients."

"This facility had the minimum amenities that nursing homes generally require. When walking in the door it smelled like a combination of many different odors including food, bodily fluids, and cleaning products. The staff in general were friendly, but not overly so. Some who had taken a special liking to my Grandmother were more friendly to her and to the family members who visited. It was these staff members who provided the most care, and better quality of care when they were working. Our family made regular visits whether my Grandmother was conscious or not to make sure her needs were being met. Half of the time someone visited, she was not being cared for properly and members of staff on duty would be notified of the situation and expected to correct this before the family member left. I would recommend do this for anyone who has a family member in a healthcare facility. There were never any major problems, and concerns were always resolved before leaving. "
