I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

lf I could give Parkview ten gold stars I would, five gold stars does not seem like enough. I want to thank you and your amazing staff for what you all do for my sister. From the women at the front desk who always greet me with a smile, who are always there to help in any way--to the caregivers who offer so much more to my sister than just "the basics," to the staff who work in the kitchen and dining room, to Henry who transports her safely in the van, to Andrea who is the very best activities director one could hope to find, to the maintenance staff who work hard to keep Parkview looking its best.....l sincerely thank everyone who makes my sister's life the best it can be, even under sometimes very challenging circumstances. You all have been there to assure that she has the very best care you have to offer. My sister has lived at Parkview since October 2017, first in independent living, then transferring to assisted living in December of 2019. Through the pandemic, several health issues, hospital stays, rehabilitation therapies, and moves into different apartments, the Parkview staff have been there to help in so many ways. The care she receives at Parkview is not just a blessing to my sister, but to our whole family. To know she is cared for not just physically, but emotionally as well, means the world to all of us. The activities and social engagement that Andrea provides is one of the most important things about Parkview. From eating out, organizing games and craft projects, or going to events in the community, I can rarely find my sister in her room during the day-she is always busy with some activity or trip that Andrea has planned!! Positive social interaction has been the key to her happiness. I must not forget the holiday dinners and celebrations that are held every year that include the families of the residents. I know how much work must go into planning those events, and we are grateful for all of the hard work everyone puts in to make those happen. The food is always delicious! I also want to thank her caregivers so much. When I come to visit, it is heartwarming for me to see the effort they take in making sure my sister is given the very best care possible. From the care director, the med techs, to the caregivers on each shift, I say thank you so much. I love to watch the positive interactions, the laughs, and the care that each one seems to provide. What is more important than to know the person you love so much is cared for by others?

Parkview on Hollybrook was just too expensive. It was beautiful. The rooms were double occupancy. My cousin would have her own bedroom and bathroom, but they shared like a kitchen. The staff was very friendly. He even called me back a week later to see if I had any more questions. They had some games going on. They had bingo going on while I was there. They were also just finishing up some kind of an exercise class. They had a whole list of different activities.

I haven’t moved in yet But I can tell you, this is a lovely facility. When you walk in, it’s like a grand hotel. Even though they provide three meals a day there are still full kitchens in the apartments.

The tour at Parkview on Hollybrook was really good. The people were nice. It was fancy and bigger. The staff was friendly, and knowledgeable, and gave me a lot of information. They had some private rooms, and then some were set up like shared rooms with a bathroom in the middle. They have their own bedroom, but two people would share a bathroom. They had a lot of daily activities and an activities director. They have movies, games, and an occupational therapist on staff. They had two courtyards that were kind of enclosed. They just have a little coffee bar area. The facility was a little more confusing.

I visited this facility

My purpose in visiting Parkview on Hollybrook was to educate myself regarding available facilities for senior care. At 85 years of age, it's time to get rid of the big house and move into something much smaller. The extended living apartments at Parkview on Haoolybrok are excellent. They are not tiny little things, squashed into a building. Instead, they are nice apartments, as you would find in a conventional apartment complex. I enjoyed a meal at the facility, which was excellent. In addition, I met many of their staff. All I would rate as excellent. I have not made a decision yet as to where we may go, but I can assure you, Parkview on Hollybrook is still at the top of my list. It is an excellent facility.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I chose Parkview on Hollybrook because I liked what I saw, and the people were extremely friendly and helpful. The staff seems to get along well with all the people that live here. I'm just really enjoying it. They're providing food, and it is so good. Everything here is very, very neat and clean. I have not seen anything that would turn me off. There's a hospital next door, and it's located close to restaurants.

My mother-in-law lived at Parkview on Hollybrook for a month. The staff and the other residents there were really friendly. The food was good most of the time. They have a lot of activities. Her room was nice. She loved her room. It had a good view. It was painted and it was nice. I can't say anything bad about the rooms. They had art clubs and they took the bus and went to town to go out to eat. They go to Walmart and go to doctor's visits. They have a beautician there on staff. You can bring people in, like home health and people for assistance to do things if you are independent living. You can hire people to come in and do that. They have a theater. They have a courtyard, and that's where they have their view. They didn't go out to the courtyard now because it was kind of cold already, but they liked the view in the courtyard. They had a pool and a workout room. They had a little golf course, like a little putting green.

Parkview on Hollybrook seemed very nice. The staff member during the tour was excellent. He really took a lot of time with us. We saw some of the rooms, the cafeteria, the library, and the activity room. Everything was very nice. I know they have normal activities for the residents like crafts and things, and they take them on outings. The rooms were very nice and well maintained.

We are going to move my mom into Parkview on Hollybrook. She'll be in memory care. For lack of a better word, they seemed more like home. The people seemed like they really care. I saw them in action dealing with the patients, it just seemed more homey, and it's a really, really nice place. They got an indoor deal where they have indoor birds. They're separated from the people, but it's really cool for the people to watch. It was cool for me to watch. There wasn't anything that I disliked so far about it. The staff seemed really nice. They had good activities. The room we have chosen for my mom was just a standard room. They had an outdoor area, and they had things to do. It was a good facility. We really thought a lot about it, and it felt more like a home to me than anywhere else.

I went to Parkview on Hollybrook. They gave me the information flier and took me on the tour. So it was fine. I did see the one-bedroom, they don't have anything else available. I liked the room better than the other place. The size was good enough for one person, and it had a refrigerator. I didn't see any activities with the people, but I saw the dining area staff eating at one table. It's off time, so nobody else is eating, and they introduced me to the staff preparing the meals. It's pretty big and well maintained. I saw the outside area, a walking area in the middle, and an open area too.

I like Parkview on Hollybrook. It was awesomely decorated for Halloween during my visit. I went around with one of the nurses. I got there early and they were very accommodating to get me through the little tour early. One of the residents there was having trouble with their phone and the front desk guy was very kind to her, helping her with her phone. She talked to me too and she was friendly, but it seems like the residents here were high-quality. She said, "I'm losing my memory, but I just laugh a lot". It's like they train them to be okay with not being the way they were before and I thought that's good. We toured both assisted living and memory care. One thing I noticed was that the closets were a lot bigger in this facility than the other ones I visited.

My mother has moved into Parkview on Hollybrook. She's only been there a couple of days, but we really liked it. We just felt right at home when we toured it, and everybody is great. For the rooms, they have a bathroom in the middle, and then they each have their own room, so there's plenty of room for her, for one person. They have a room where they can watch TV or just sit at the table. They have a courtyard that they can walk around on. The staff is great, and the security for that unit is really good. Nobody can get in and out without somebody letting them in. Even coming in the front door to the memory care part, somebody would have to let them in, and the doors are locked.

Parkview on Hollybrook was one of the newer facilities we saw. It was nice. They're all well taken care of, but you can see that it's newer. We went to the assisted living and also memory care. The staff was very friendly, thoughtful, and professional.

Parkview on Hollybrook was a very nice place. My mother stayed there not very long. It was a beautiful place. She liked playing games with the people, joining the activities, and also the music they played. They had a library, a group room where everybody played games, and a nice courtyard. The facility was well-maintained too. What she didn't like was they never got her pills to her on time, and she got real sick. We were unhappy about that. I never really got to know the staff too. They weren't really that friendly. They also told her the price that she had to pay, but then they started tacking on and said, "You also got to pay for this, and you got to pay for that." Her bill kept going up.

My mother is at Parkview on Hollybrook and she's doing fine. It's been a much more relaxed atmosphere. There is still confusion because of her being new to the place, so it's taking time for her to get used to it. As far as the food is concerned, my mother has not complained about the food. She has been able to take every meal, 3 meals a day, and I have not heard her complain about being hungry. From what I see and from what I know, the amenities are very good. I like the place, I like the look of it, the overall general décor and the atmosphere is good. It's much better than where she was.As far as her activities, the staff there seems to be trying to include her in as many activities as possible, and she is even participating in some of the activities. This is according to what I'm being told by the staff. They have not done anything that I totally disagree with. They have been very nice, cordial to me and my mother and from that standpoint, I'm okay with them. They've been very good, very easy to work with and I appreciate that.I know that they have activities, I know that they are posted but I really have not paid much attention to it although I know that my mother has participated in some of them. The staff has been very friendly, very cordial, and very willing to help. Many times, they've gone out of their way to help and I appreciate that.

My father will be moving into Parkview on Hollybrook. I didn't get to see very much of it because of COVID, but the rooms that I saw were very nice. The staff showed me the game room, the dining room, one of the courtyards, and the map where everything else was. Everything was very nice, and the people there were just great. You could tell that it was a good working environment. I had already talked with the sales manager and she had told me about transportation within the city, the activities that they got to do, and the fact that he has housekeeping weekly and laundry weekly. They have outings for the residents who want to just get out of the building. They can go on drives through the town and they have one day where they go to Wal-Mart for picking up stuff that they need. He showed me where we could do our visits and that is in the courtyard at this time. If we wanted to do a window visit we could do that.

My sister has been in the assisted living facility since December 2018. The staff is wonderful and always available to help her. It has been very difficult for her during these past few months, and me, because even though I live in the independent living building in the same complex, I am not allowed to go into her building or her apartment. We have to sit outside on benches and it is now getting very hot in Texas and not fun.

Parkview on Hollybrook was a great facility. They had a wine bar, a swimming pool, a movie room, a computer center, and a lot of other things. I have visited both independent and assisted and they were both excellent. Everything I saw was top of the line.
