Briarcliff wouldn't let me see my dad for last two months of his life, because court assigned guardian was his ex-girlfriend who I found out recently never had like me. The last time i tried to visit Dad, weekend nurse, Dee, made me visit in common area & followed me around griping & got in my face yelling at me, saying "I'm sorry-I have to do what guardian says & you needed to leave. " When Dad was dying and in coma-like state, I was able to see him the entire week, only because the hospice people told NH I was entitled to see him. When the weekend nurse came around, as my dad was dying, the same head weekend nurse from before, tried to kick me out again! She yelling & talking very rudely. When she found out I could be there, Dee said in her loud harsh voice, "Well, I'm sorry but I have to do what the guardian says!" This is an absolutely horrible facility. I'm executor of Dad's will now and they want me to pay final $1400 bill. Hmmmm

Briarcliff Health Center is right across the street from where I work. What I like most about this facility is that it was very active, and I know the reputation of the place well, so I'm very comfortable with it. The staff is familiar to me so I have confidence in them. The facility itself was very good. It's modern. It's new. They have great facility for any activities. The facility was clean. Like I said, it's a Joint Commission accredited hospital, so I know that it meets a lot of regular authority requirements as far as safety, security, and cleanliness.
