My mother has already been placed in Interlochen Health and Rehab Center. Our experience has been fine. She's been there now for a little bit, and I am having to communicate back and forth with the staff to help her get adjusted. All is well. The staff has been very helpful. Since I have not been able to go into the place and help my mom set up, they've been very helpful with emails and phone calls to work with the family. They've been very good. I would suggest they work with the family more to see what the patient needs ahead of time before assuming, because with COVID we couldn't go inside the facility.
There were some issues in the very beginning where my mom's room was not set up the way it was supposed to be and everything. It was the next day that I discovered that her bed had not had her sheets on. Had the nursing staff met with me prior to her being admitted, we could've worked together to have a better flow of setup for my mom's room. So far, I'm pleased with the interaction that I'm having with the staff. They're working well with the family, answering my questions, and responding to my concerns. I'm rating them so high because they get right back to me immediately with concerns that I have, they respond quickly to my emails and phone calls, so they're working well with the family to help to get my mother adjusted.
