"My father moved in about four or five days ago. I think it looks very pretty, and it almost looks like a hotel. It is very pretty. The hallways are wide and carpeted. My father went into memory care. The room is lovely. It was freshly painted, so it looks very nice. We went in and decorated. I know the all the employees eat the food so it must be okay. The food smelled good at lunch. I did not eat there, but it sure smelled good. They have common rooms. They have an arts and crafts room, and they have a social room where they can watch television. My father is in memory care. He is not in independent, nor assisted. They have those rooms, plus they have an outside area where he can go. The service dogs are there on a Friday, so he can pet the dogs. They can go out in the sun, but it is enclosed so they cannot get out. I know that they do arts and crafts. They also go get them ice cream from the van. I know they go outside to do gardening because they have a little garden. They have an activities director there. The place is very lovely."

"My mother has been at Anderson Oaks for almost 2 and a half years. My mother was at another local assisted living prior to. Anderson Oaks is amazing, they go above and beyond. My mother is so happy, they treat her like a member of their own family. The costs are lower than the area and the care is much higher than even I expected. send your family member to Anderson Oaks with the confidence they will be truly cared for, loved and in turn you will be happy too. "

"We toured Brookdale Conway in person. That was pretty nice, and the people seemed to be very nice, friendly, the patients seemed to like it there. The man I talked to was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very fitting. Again, he was very steep in his prices, and my friend hasn't sold her house. My friend liked everything there. It was just a really nice set up that they had, it seemed like it really turned my head a little bit, it's pretty nice, and it was a lot closer for us. The location made a difference, but the price was up there where she couldn't really afford it at that time, but she probably can now. They showed me rooms that were occupied by people pretty much, and it seemed like an apartment type place. Some were like deluxe apartments, and some of them were like plain Jane apartments. They had their little walk-in closets and bathrooms, and the bed and everything right there, right in front of the TV, everything was like put in one room, and others were kind of spread out a little better."

"Mom moved to Myrtle Beach Grove Senior Living and it's been a great experience. There's no problem. They've been very personable, very helpful, and everything's been good. It's a very clean facility. They have bingo, Jeopardy, Family Feud, and they play something every hour and a half. They have a different activity for them to participate in if they want to. That's just a nice place where the people make you feel like you're at home. They are very friendly."

"Thanks for taking very good care of my mom while she was there. This is a very nice facility with large comfortable rooms. Everything is so clean and beautiful in the public areas. Mom was very well fed. All the employees are friendly and caring."

"I went to Spring Oak Conway. It was a little bit too far out for what I needed. The staff was very pleasant. They were very knowledgeable, very patient, and very caring. They were cleaning the facility while I was there. The rooms are adequate. The dining area was a nice size and it looked fairly clean."

"The Tabor Commons is reasonably close and they take Medicaid. Those are the two big reasons that we chose it for my relative. She's going to move in around May. It was clean and the staff seemed very friendly when I was there. They had a giant activities board. They take the residents out to the store and on various trips. They had an activities room, TV room, shower area, and a nice decent-sized outside area. It's assisted living but they can provide monitoring, they have wander-guards for people that have mild dementia. "

"We went here. I liked them, I thought they were very nice, I thought the place was set up nice, and the people were very nice. The room that we looked at was very nice, and it had a patio with a little outdoor area, which would have been very nice. A little bit of distance while walking from there to the dining room would be too far for my friend. The dining room was very comfortable looking, it was nice."

"My mother absolutely loves Seabrook at Murrells Inlet. Her only complaint is the meals. They recently had a prom, which was phenomenal. The staff put it on, and it was so great for the residents. My mother had such a good time. They had them get all dressed up. They had a red carpet. They clapped and called everybody's name out when they walked down the red carpet. They had great food. They put stars on the floor with all the residents' pictures as they do in Hollywood. They had a DJ. They had all kinds of decorations, and they even brought somebody in who had prom dresses for them to wear. We had the best time, and the Chick-fil-A cow was there and doing the Macarena. It was just so much fun. She doesn't usually participate in things. It was special that she did that. One of the people who worked there talked her into going. The staff really goes above and beyond to do stuff for the residents. They have a bus, and they do shopping trips. They take them to movies, they do exercise classes, and they have bingo. She's able to have her dog there, which is wonderful. Her apartment is really nice and big. Every hallway has a different color. She's in the orange wing on the second floor. She has a closet that's big enough to put a bed in. She has a beautiful bathroom with a nice shower and a sink with a granite countertop. It has a little kitchenette. She's got high ceilings and a ceiling fan. It came with a little refrigerator, and we put a microwave in there for her. She was able to fit some of her furniture from her condo, and she just feels at home there. It really worked out well. It's a beautiful facility."

"The rooms are very nice and plenty spacious. This facility is really clean. Very Nicely decorated. It is a beautiful place! They have a lot of activities and amenities. All activities are displayed on a calendar for all residents as well as displayed in the lobby area. The dining area is very nice and the menu is always good! The staff is wonderful...always attentive to the residents. My mother stays there and she needs a little extra help. I am very appreciative of all the attention and help given to my mom by all the care providers and employees. My mom was at another facility that was nothing near to as nice and clean as ICR... My mom loves Tonja and Kelly - 2 of the CNA/Med Techs who work there.- my mom lights up like a Christmas Tree when they care for her! Thank you ICR my mom is in good hands! I highly recommend! "

"I moved into River Park Senior Living. It is a wide open community. There's a lot of socialization going on, and the food is excellent. They help you to the doctors by van, so you don't have to worry about going anywhere. They'll take you there and drop your back. The staff here is patient. I have a one-bedroom apartment, which is really large. I have a living room with it. I have my two dogs with me and there's plenty of room for us. The living atmosphere is excellent. The dining area is very large. You can do four at a table or six at a table. It doesn't really matter to them, and the service is great. They have bingo, card playing, shuffleboard, foosball, and a few others. We have a gym, but no pool."

"My father is a resident of The Legacy of North Myrtle Beach. He likes it there. It's an older facility, so some things could be updated. It's small, so the memory care unit part is also small. They also seem to have a little bit of a turnover. I wish some of the staff would stay a little bit longer, but they come and go. It has been a couple of years so I guess that's not out of the norm. He has good days and bad days, so he gives them a hard time some days, but he always gets good treatment, and they seem to be able to calm him down. He thinks he owns the place -- dementia will do that to you -- and they just go along with it. Some days he "fires" the whole staff, and some days he tells me to write a check for more money for them. They are very good with him so the only thing that I would like to see is more staff staying. My father doesn't really like a lot of changes, so with people coming and going he wonders where they went. He is in a private room, and it's not very big, but he has an armoire that he uses as a closet for his clothes. He has his own bathroom, too. Right now he has a hospital bed, but he also has a recliner, a rocking chair, and a dresser or a nightstand. It's enough room for him. He also has a window that faces the highway where he enjoys sitting and watching the cars go up and down. They took a little bus trip this past week, I think they went to the Olive Garden for lunch. He gets to go on little luncheons too. Yesterday they had a salad and spaghetti dinner and they tried to get the people involved in it. It's hard to do that in memory care, especially with my dad who is also legally blind. It's hard to come up with this kind of activity for him, but they try to keep him involved. They even help him play bingo and do different activities with the other residents, so he really seems to enjoy it there."

"We were pretty impressed with our tour at Myrtle Beach Manor. I liked that aside from assisted living and memory care, they also offer skilled nursing there and physical therapy. They've got an exercise room, they also had activities as well. One of the things I asked was what would a day be like for my husband there. And I was impressed that they had a good plan and information with regards to the day-to-day, and what the residents would do and when they do it. The staff that we met with talked to us and worked with us."

"I visited the Calabash Meadows Senior Apartments. The lady who showed me the apartment was really nice about it. She told me all the amenities of the apartment complex and the units they would have been renting to me. The apartment was great. It's a brand-new complex, they just opened it up in June of 2025, and it's really nice. They have what they call a boardroom for different events. They have an outside area when it's warm out. They also have a weight room, a game room, and an exercise room. It's independent living, so everything is one- and two-bedroom apartments with one bathroom and a kitchen. They have a small library, too. There were just a couple of issues for me. The elevator was very small, so it would have taken me a lot of trips to get my furniture up there. It was either the elevator or two flights of stairs. The apartment was also way down, almost to the end of the hallway, which would have been a lot to carry and do my stuff. I wouldn't be able to carry my stuff that far down the hallway."
