I have been in Manorcare for eight months now. The staff is very well, very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very helpful. I am very grateful to everybody. They have an excellent therapy. They are very professional and everything. The whole building is very clean. The food is good. I have not been to any of the activities, but they have an entertainment room and craft room.

Please and I stress please don’t put your family in this facility. They really aren’t for the residents. Especially the folks that handle the finances. There only about money. And I honestly think that’s how it is in this county. I witnessed residents neglect and multiple staff at the nursing station instead of being on the floor!

My father was resident at Manorcare. He had a stroke and was taken to the hospital where not only diagnosed him with a stroke but also pneumonia and a severe infection. When arriving to collect his belongings the odor was so strong that I couldn't imagine living in such a horrible situation. I live out of state and did try to convince my father not to stay in PA but he wanted to stay in the area where he lived most of his life. DO NOT LEAVE A LOVED ONE AT MANORCARE!

My mother has moved into ManorCare North. She was actually in the Albright Life system, and this was the place where she will continue if she stayed with the Albright Life, so it wasn't an independent choice. I am not sure of everything she does there. I know there are devotions, watch movies, and they have sing-alongs, but I am not quite sure because we placed her, then she went straight from the hospital to there. We did not really get a chance to stay with her because they suggested that the family stay away for a week or so until she got used to everything. She's only been there for two weeks. We were there for a short time, but they were good with her and were fine with us. I felt the administration part was a little lacking. They didn’t really tell us much of anything, and we kept having to call back and ask questions that pop up. The organization and installing of her there was a little disorganized.

I am a current resident here. My stay has been so far almost four years. When I first was brought here, this facility as we'll as the staff was pretty good! But now it is not! They are always under staffed, sometimes it takes forty minutes to get help to go to the bathroom. Over the pass several months they have cut back on our meals. Do you really want to bring someone you love here?
