My dad will be moving into here. We like it because it is pretty much on one level, and everybody seems to be really nice and caring. We got to view all the types of rooms that they had. The rooms have refrigerator, microwave, and cable TV. That's pretty much it, but you need to bring your own TV, and your own furniture. The staff who gave me a tour did a very good job. My dad has tried the food there, he said it was OK.

It was nice. It was clean and simple. It was good. My mom doesn't necessarily want to move up here though. It was super clean, well presented, and the staff was courteous. The facility was great. It's something that she needs, so it would work out for her. They showed me the dining area, the sample menu, and the food. All that worked out really well. It's just we got to get her a little more situated. It's great. Those guys were very good people. It's relatively new and super clean.

My friends have moved into here. We chose this place because it's a smaller place, and several friends of mine know people there or even have a parent there, and they say it's nice. Frankly, it was also the first place to respond to my online inquiry. The man sounded very caring, and he put himself out to say, "Tell me about the needs of these friends of yours and we'll see if we fit, and if we don't, we'll help you find another one." My friends have a studio apartment, it is quite small, but it has all the amenities you need with a little kitchenette, a sink, a microwave, and a refrigerator, and it has quite a large bathroom with lots of handholds, too. Their dining area is very nice, but because of COVID they have it quite spread out, and people are eating on their own individual tables. They don't want people close, which is just a precaution. Actually, last week everyone got their first vaccination shot, and soon to come is their second. There is an activities room, I saw people playing puzzles, and making crafts. There's a nice little courtyard that they can go and sit in, and there is a pre-posted puzzle that they all solve together. My friends were allowed to take their little dog with them, and they can go out and walk the dog, too. There is a lady who leads singing and plays piano, but since they couldn't do it live, she does it over Zoom right now. There's quite a group of people that came in, there were song sheets with 18 pages full of oldies, and they would do sing-a-longs. That's all that I've seen in my little time there because I can't go in any longer. I think the overall living atmosphere is happy, some abled bodies were going in and out, and they would smile and say hello. It all depends on the individual resident, but the help is very nice, too.

I visited Astor Place to see my uncle. I am so impressed, the community is in great condition, classy, comfortable, and had a very welcome feeling. The staff were very engaging and pleasant. I could tell the staff really cared for the people living there. I have eaten with my uncle many times and the food is always great. The Chef is flexible and the food is well prepared. The community if fun and they even have a few very cute dogs that live there. I highly recommend Astor Place!
