"We checked out Channel Point Village's assisted living facility for my dad, and it's nice and tidy. The staff seemed very busy, but the one person who was showing us around was certainly pleasant. The residents were kind of all in for lunch, but we saw a couple of people who were in separate rooms. One person was doing a puzzle, and I can't remember what the other person was doing, but there was activity."

"It is a wonderful and clean place. They have very caring people and they do a great job. They call me right away if there are any kind of issues with my mom. She's very happy there. I have not seen anything wrong with them at this point. My mom said the food is OK. They do exercises twice a week in the lobby."

"My mom moved to Westhaven Villa Assisted Living. The place is beautiful and very clean. The employees are awesome, my mom loves them, and that was a good start for us. I eat with my mom and the food is very good. They have bingo and painting, and the group came in to play the banjos, and a gospel singer. They have an excellent activity director there."

"I was immediately put at ease during my first visit. Elma Home Care was exactly what I was looking for. The word "Home" in the name fits this residence perfectly as it is set up and run like a warm and cozy HOME. During my visit I observed the residents involved in a number of activities. The staff was very much involved and everyone I met was kind and handled each situation in a calm and professional manner. The facility was very clean and the food, which I got an opportunity to sample, was just like home cooking. I returned for a second visit with my Uncle so I could see how he liked the facility and staff. He was made to feel right at home, which made the transition from independant to assisted living so much easier than I expected. I would not hesitate to recommend Elma Home Care to anyone looking for a Warm, Caring Environment for a Loved One. "

"I've been to Alder House Assisted Living Facility. It was very expensive, the rooms were about half the size as the others, the cleanliness was good, the staff I worked with briefly over a couple times, and they seemed to have a turnover on their people, and they weren't nearly as professional and cordial as the other place by any means. It was not an easy process, kind of a little bit argumentative even. I talked to them and worked with them three times over a few years anticipating my father coming in there. I did go there twice and spoke to many people, so it wasn't just a quick rush through. They had a few activities on their list, and it's a nice location up on a hill, right across the street from the medical clinic, and very close to the hospital, and easy to just go up front and catch transportation."
