I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My sister was in this nursing facility for years. She got quality care. She was happy and loved the staff. Now, my daughter is there. They treat her with love and care. She does not like one or two of the nurses, but overall likes most of the staff. Everyone is kind to her. For her age, this has been a great place. The food quality is overall good. Her room is always clean. My interactions with the staff has been good. The staff supervisor has taken care of any concerns. This Christmas they went to Wool a roc and had a great time.

I visited this facility

Most of the staff are great. There is one girl that works there I think her name is Helen she is full of love she works in the kitchen but when she comes out to go on break or get something she always talks to all the residence and she will make sure they are happy she has covered them up when cold she will gladly take her break time to just talk to any that want to talk she is great the only thing bad I can say is that there is black mold in the building and they will not do anything about it and the people over the kitchen will not buy the food needed so they never have a good meal

the kitchen never has food to feed the people my mom was there and they never have the food that is on the menu and when i ask why I was told that the kitchen gets very very little money and they have to get what they can with what money they have and the kitchen staff are the lowest pay staff and they will go out of there way to make your love ones happy. I seen the kitchen staff tack money out of there own to go get juice , food , snacks, or anything that was needed

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My great grandmother was in the care of Osage Nursing Home. I toured the facility initially with my mother and grandmother and found the staff to be very nice and respectful. The facilities do not have much in the way of amenities but the residents seem happy. My grandmother's room was always kept up and clean and she had many friends at the facility. We actually moved her to a nice assisted living facility because we thought it would be a better fit for her do to all the activities and amenities but she chose to come back to the facility in Nowata. She said she like the residents and staff better and felt more comfortable there. The only complaint I would have is that residents easily could go in and out of each other's rooms and sometimes that can be scary for women at night. It might be better if there was a way to lock their door at night and the nurses had a key. I know she would have felt a little safer that way.
