I will move into Woodview Home. It's closer to my family, it's closer to my grandkids. That's more important to me. It was clean, well kept, and the nurses kept the patients clean, not smelly. The staff was good, and she knew the place quite well. She seemed very interested in the people that live there. They had a salon, I didn't see a gym, but they can go with silver sneakers. It's a nice location, easy to get to. The only thing I'm a little upset about is that I have to get rid of my animals. I got two small dogs. I've had them all my life, and I hate to get rid of them. They're part of my family.

Placing a family member in a nursing home is traumatic and stressful for everyone. Woodview helped me as well as my mother through the process, This place is not glamorous but what really counts is how quickly the resident adapts to and feels safe in the new home. The entire staff watch out for and are involved with all of the residents. The residents all seem to be happy and comfortable. This is a wonderful place for people with Alzheimer's because of the quiet and calm environment. My mother has been here for almost one year and has told me many times nice everyone is and how safe she is. That is most important for the Alzheimer's patient. It doesn't matter how modern or posh a place is if the staff is cold and non-caring. Woodview ROCKS!
