I like Pleasantwood Senior Apartments & Townhomes, but I'm not sure if I want to live that far away from my grandkids. I enjoyed it. They have a van that takes you to the stores. And I can take my scooter in the van. This place is 55 and above, so it's people my age. They have a refrigerator, a stove, and a dishwasher in the room. But I have to go to the washer and dryer area which is in the building. So that was the only drawback about them. I'm almost assisted living, so I have to watch what I have to do. I like Pleasantwood Senior Apartments & Townhomes because I can ride my scooter all over the whole place. There's a library, a billiard room, and people play games. They have Friday night movies, and they have activities for the people. They also have a gym. The staff who gave the tour answered all my questions. I asked about bedbugs, she said they never had them. They always check. They spray insects and stuff like that. And the lady was very nice. They have a restaurant there, and I think for $200 and something a month, you can get three meals a day. But I only eat meals a day anyway. So right now, I'll do my own meals. But if I want to have a meal, I can get one and it costs me $10. As for the building, they are renovating everything. When I was there, they were tearing up carpets and doing the ceilings. I saw a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom, and they were wonderful. They're very good and clean.

I chose it for my sister and brother-in-law. It was a very quiet area. I liked the way they were arranged. They're like garden homes. There are two separate units in one building, and there's plenty of room. There's enough space, and you don't feel confined. The staff member I met was absolutely outstanding. She was very personable, very informative, and not pushy. I thought she was great. They have housekeeping available. They have meals of course, but when you're independent you can buy a meal card or you can buy separate meals. They will bring them to you if you don't feel like walking over to the dining room or whatever. It just seemed like everything my loved ones needed. They have a van that can take you to the store or to your doctors' appointments. They just seemed very helpful and really on it.

I went to look and I am impressed with the facility. The meal was fine. They have a gazebo. It was near the hospital. Everything was clean.

It is huge. The staff was straightforward with me. The dining room was beautiful, and the food we ate that day was very good.

The staff was amazing; they were wonderful and very nice. They knew my mother from another facility, and they remembered her, so that was interesting. The people in the place were very nice. They came over and said "Hi." The apartments were large and very nice -- nicer than most of the ones that I have seen. Basically, it was really a good place, but for me it was just too far away. There was a gym, there was shopping, and they had clubs. They had other things too. They also had an art room. The food was very good. The dining room was open all day. I liked the whole atmosphere of the place. It was clean and inviting, and you could be as friendly or as non-friendly as you wanted. It was a really nice place. I wouldn't mind being there when the time comes.

My mother is here and she's very happy. The facility is very good. The staff is great and their work ethic is good. Mom is in an apartment with one-bedroom with small kitchen area, a living room and a bathroom, which is spacious enough for her. I eat there a couple of times and the food is good. The dining room is nice and pleasant. They have activities like cards, bingo and pool. They also have outings.
