"My mother was a resident of HCMCF from March to December 2012. She was a complicated alzheimer-dementia patient who had suffered a heart attack and fall. Staff at HCMCF were very attentive and noticed a double hernia which was not completely missed by the hospital. Staff at HCMCF were extremely caring and provided special equipment for her use and comfort including air pressure beds, special wheel chair and air pressure padding. Staff were always helpful and attentive to her needs. The PT staff were especially good with encouraging her to achieve independence. The activities personnel made everyday special and really knew how to celebrate birthdays and special events with the residents. Staff were quick to notice changes in her response to medications and would alert her physician and kept me informed. The activities during the day kept her focused on living in the community and enjoying her stay. Although my mother lost her battle with the disease, staff were with her in her final moments and I know she was comforted and felt loved. This is a very caring, professional community and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this medical care facility for your loved ones. Also the food served was always very good. And healthy, nourishing snacks were readily available and residents were encouraged to enjoy them. "

"My experience at Cypress Manor Health and Rehab Center was pretty decent. My grandfather had been staying there for a couple of weeks before my family and I got a chance to visit. The staff was very friendly; seemed to take on the tasks of the elderly and in-need with care and patience. The rooms were a bit on the small side, however, and the entire facility looked like it could use a little bit of renovating. It had very narrow hallways with old carpet and very harsh, bright lighting. They did have a very nice recreational room where we were able to play music and games and have snacks with my grandpa. The food served to the residents was nothing gourmet, but it looked decent enough to eat myself and I probably would have. I did not get to witness any rehab sessions, but their equipment looked safe and up-to-date. My biggest issue was probably the amount of staff on hand at one given time. During the period of my visit, there were several residents pushing their buttons to sound off the buzzer and light at the top of their doors. It actually became a little irritating after a while, because the staff could not always get to them quick enough. We would hear buzz after buzz and eventually yelling from a few of the residents who were seemingly being ignored. Mostly, though, I was satisfied with the way my grandfather was being treated. He did not like being there alone very much, but he seemed to enjoy the way he was treated well enough. Not to mention, the safety and security was up to par as well; there was a padlock on all doors that did not allow you to enter or exit without a code and the code was changed daily. Cypress Manor is definitely a little pricey, but having a loved one cared for and treated with respect is not something you can buy. "

"Bayside Village offers quality health care for senior citizens and those requiring extended rehabilitation services. The nursing staff is amazingly friendly and helpful to everyone (visitors and residents alike). A Certified Nurse Assistant is available to each resident, each day of the week, which I thought was a really great benefit of this home. There are a variety of activities at Bayside Village for residents, including individual activities, Namaste care, Courtyard gardens, The Sports Bar, Styling Salon, The Coffee Shop, The Library, The Chapel, and The Cinema. A new activity, Namaste Care, is a new center for life enrichment for individuals suffering with dementia or other difficulties. During the summer months, the residents are even able to visit the water front for a series of concerts! I thought this was a great program! Even the meals looked good here! Meals are served daily three times daily with snacks are offered at other times of the day. For residents who need therapy, there are also therapy and rehabilitation services offered. Overall, this a small, comfortable place to call home with many extra amenities. "
