"This facility was clean enough and attempted to involve the residents in activities regularly including having outside entertainment visit. Food was regularly served with some variation and nutritional balance. Upwards of three elderly people share a single room. These people often are in various stages of physical and mental conditions. It is hard to tell if the facility is understaffed or is apathetic. A resident who needed assistance to use the bathroom was left on the toilet for about an hour while repeatedly calling for help. When helped the staff was terse and rude. It is typical that residents lose their connection with reality as their mental capacity diminishes. One would expect that the nurses and staff would have experience and some training to handle the difficulties of the unusual and sometimes hurtful things that mentally disconnected elderly people can say. But, when a resident is in their mental decline and are scared and lashing out, some of the staff took comments too personally and were crying to the family of the elderly and asking for comfort when it should have been the other way around. The staff should be the experienced health providers that give comfort to the distraught elderly and family. In this regard the staff was very unprofessional. "
