Former Iron Range resident; I currently live in Virginia Beach VA. My grandmother was a resident patient here years ago and received excellent care. Recently one of my family members transferred here after a heart attack and treatment in Duluth. When I called from VaBch, I was told that he was not a patient there several times. I called another family member to verify, then called again and was persistent. The staff then located the patient and I was able to speak with him.

I was in their rehab section two different time periods over two years.....one time for 2 1/2 months and the other for 1 month. I was well pleased with the over-all care and attention that they give to their residents...most of whom are in nursing and long-term care sections, that are in essence within the same facility as which I was in for my rehab. CNA's, RN's, Food Service, Activities, Maintenance, Administration....I rarely came upon an employee whom I would not recommend.

My husbands grandmother was a resident at this facility. She was not happy to be in an assisted living center but I do feel the staff honestly cared about their residents. The food, while bland, was well prepared. The facility was clean and they had activities. The rooms were very nice, clean. The front desk area was very professional and when she past they were very respectful of the family, allowing us to say our goodbyes in private.
