Bayside Village

I spent more than a few months at Bayside Village recovering from a leg amputation. The experience was generally pleasant and the staff were always polite and helpful. I did have some problem with the facility director who didn't want me moved from a two bed suite. The other occupant of the room was diagnosed with MERSA., and I had open leg wounds and didn't want to risk becoming infected. I ultimately had to threaten to involve Lansing in the matter before I was moved to another room. Be careful..,

Bayside Village offers quality health care for senior citizens and those requiring extended rehabilitation services. The nursing staff is amazingly friendly and helpful to everyone (visitors and residents alike). A Certified Nurse Assistant is available to each resident, each day of the week, which I thought was a really great benefit of this home. There are a variety of activities at Bayside Village for residents, including individual activities, Namaste care, Courtyard gardens, The Sports Bar, Styling Salon, The Coffee Shop, The Library, The Chapel, and The Cinema. A new activity, Namaste Care, is a new center for life enrichment for individuals suffering with dementia or other difficulties. During the summer months, the residents are even able to visit the water front for a series of concerts! I thought this was a great program! Even the meals looked good here! Meals are served daily three times daily with snacks are offered at other times of the day. For residents who need therapy, there are also therapy and rehabilitation services offered. Overall, this a small, comfortable place to call home with many extra amenities.
