I visited Revived Senior Living on Wednesday and Thursday of last week. I didn't have an appointment. I knocked on the door and just explained I was looking at assisted living for my dad, and the lady who answered the door, Caroline, opened the door, and welcomed me, showed me through, and introduced me to some of the residents. It's rare that a place will just open their door if they're not expecting you. She was comfortable enough to just invite me in for a walk-through immediately, which impressed me. It's a home with a max of six residents. They're fully furnished rooms. The house is totally convenient to make everything so easy for someone who needs assisted living. It's a single level and has plenty of shower aids and equipment to help folks move around. It's neat and clean, and you could tell that they really know and love the folks that they care for. The owner, Daniel, was not there the day that I dropped in. Caroline got him on the phone, and he talked with me and was very invitational to have me come back the next day and bring my daddy. It's a small facility situated on a beautiful lot in a very quiet area, has a beautiful covered gazebo in the backyard, and it's very private. It had everything that would be needed for someone who needed assisted living, and they would feel like part of the family. Literally, if they had a need, all they had to do was open their door, and someone would be steps away, within earshot to help them. It was a great experience. When I talked to the owner the first day on the phone, I understood $3,500 as the monthly rate. When we sat down the next day, and he said it was $8,500, I said that puts us out of our price range, but he still sat and talked with us for 30 minutes. He still took the time to talk to us about assisted living in general, his experiences, and his professional opinions on things that were important.

Revived Senior Living is a wonderful place located in Mint Hill, NC. It offers great care for each resident. Our Mom is a resident there and we see how happy she is. They treat each resident they serve with kindness, respect, love and they offer them a safe place to call home. Daniel, the administrator, and his staff provide care for each resident designed with their own individual schedule for their care needs. They offer onsite doctor visits, different types of therapy as needed, activities, and fellowship. At Revived Senior Care the residents get delicious meals prepared for them, their clothes are washed, there’s a nice common area for watching TV, eating meals and visits. There are only six rooms in this house for residents, so this place provides more personal care and a “feeling of being at home”. There’s a nice deck out back that the residents can go out on to get some fresh air. I can’t say enough about this place being a great choice for your Senior family members to be a part of. It has given us a huge peace of mind knowing that our loved-one is being taken care of and actually being cared for as if she is a member of their family. Believe me, you don’t find that everywhere.

My mom moved into Revived Senior Living. This facility is not a traditional memory care as someone might think. She's receiving heavy assistance in terms of her daily needs. Their caregiver to patient ratio is unmatched. Since we have been there, they are extremely clean and sanitary. They go to great lengths to make sure that she is thoroughly clean, that she has moved within her bed or her chairs to make sure that she doesn't develop bedsores and things of that sort. They communicate strongly regarding what they notice may be a change in her situation or her needs. They have been very good at partnering with hospice care and communicating with hospice, and the hospice is actually very impressed with the level of care that she is getting. I think they can have up to six people in the home, and so they have a dining table that would sit six. They have a nice kitchen with granite countertops, and they have a bar area so that they can see the patients while they're providing and doing the food. I know that they prepare the diets according to physician orders, so some of the other residents are on a mechanical soft. My mother has been ordered to puree because she's struggling to swallow and that was something that they actually helped notice and reported to hospice. She's in the advanced stage of dementia, so she just listens to music. They try to change her environment to get her out of the room and into the living area. They do have an activities director who comes in. I can see evidence that some people paint. There are other games there. There are puzzles also. In their entirety, it's a very nice place for someone in my mother's stage.

Our experience here has been wonderful. The staff is so friendly and caring. They respond when my father needs something right away and will talk with him. The owner Daniel is very nice and is at the home every day. Communication is great here. Very knowledgeable. Beautiful home and is clean and inviting. We have seen my father completely flourish at this home. The food is wonderful. This has been just an amazing experience and we would recommend this home to anyone. Highly recommend for a loved one who is looking for excellent care.

I am my brother Kim’s guardian. Kim is a 71 year old male who suffers from Alzheimers and mental retardation. Kim was at Revived Senior Living for 10 days in order to provide respite to his primary care givers. The facility is spotlessly clean, the staff was gentle and caring, and we could not have hoped for a better experience for Kim. He requires assistance with every aspect of living from eating and dressing to personal hygiene. We were most impressed by, and thankful for, Revived’s quality of care. They have our highest recommendation.
