I am an Attorney. I am guardian for a disabled veteran who was placed at The Stratford by the local Department of Social Services. When I visited, the sales director met with me and showed me the facilities. The facilities are 21 years old and they look brand new. It was clean, everyone was positive and happy. The director made the move-in effortless. The service by the personnel could not have been better. My ward is lucky that this place was found for her. The activities offered are fantastic and the prices are outstanding for the service provided

I toured Holiday The Stratford. The facility was beautiful. I like the price range a little bit better. The rooms were okay, but they weren't as nice as the other place. The staff who gave the tour was nice. I've always had my eye on that facility. It was around the corner from my son's house. I loved it. It was a beautiful place, and it was my first choice. Everything was nice.

I was able to tour Holiday The Stratford yesterday. The tour went very well. They were very nice. The person who gave us the tour covered all the information we needed to have and answered all our questions. It's a very nice community. We had a positive feeling about the whole thing. I think it would be a good place for any retired person to live in an independent place where they have their meals provided and great programs and activities for the people. They seemed to be very caring about their residents. It's a very good visit. We were impressed. We looked at the menu, and we talked about the food, but we didn't taste the food. We met a couple of staff there, and they were very helpful. The person told us the facility needed updating. It's adequate, but they need to do some updating of the carpeting and in the hallways. It needs some color changes because it hasn't been updated in a while. It's still clean, but it needs some updating.

We're trying to get my friend into Holiday The Stratford, but the problem is the $1300 fee that has to be paid before they will start processing his application. The lady there said that it takes 45 to 90 days once the $1300 has been paid and that hasn't been paid. She has given me the option of making installments and I'm not even sure about that. We were impressed with the cleanliness and with the accommodations. My friend has decided on a one-bedroom apartment. The facility was top-notch. The accommodations were five-star. We were impressed with the dining room and the dining accommodations. We were impressed with the amenities and with the available transportation to doctors and shopping. He is anxious to become a resident, but I just don't know where we're gonna get the $1300 for him. They offer a studio and a two-bedroom apartment. They have a library and various games that they can sign up for. The day we were there, they were celebrating somebody's birthday with refreshments. My friend also liked the idea of the dining room, the idea that he could pick his menu daily, sign up for what he wanted when he gets to the dining room, and they will bring it to him as if he was in a restaurant. He's wheelchair bound and he was with us during the tour and he got around quite well. Everything was handicap accessible.

Holiday The Stratford is a little bit old. I like that the people know each other very well. It's mature in its operation and everyone knows what they're doing. It was absolutely clean. They have a lot of floor plans to choose from. We saw the menu and there's quite a lot of choices. The dining room was clean and the setup was good. I saw a small group doing exercise. The age group is from 60 up to almost 90. The staff was good. They mentioned that they're going to replace the carpet and the furniture for the new owners.

I saw the Holiday by Atria - The Stratford. I liked the check-ins. They don't allow you to go further without getting checked in. Seems like they have pretty good security. It's very clean. It's very beautiful. I wasn't interested in three meals a day, They don't have any kitchens. They have a place where you can maybe put several things, like the coffee maker, and maybe a hotplate or something like that if you wanted to have those items. I met one person on the staff and she was super. She was very, very nice. I only saw one bedroom. I said I'll get claustrophobia in a one-bedroom. They didn't have a large fitness room, or a pool, which I needed. There were just some things I was looking for, and they didn't have them.

My tour at Holiday The Stratford was very positive. The staff who gave the tour was very good and very informative, and the rooms were in good condition. They're 20 years old so it's not new but we're satisfied with the condition, and the maintenance looks good. I checked the dining area, I did not try the food but what I saw looked good. They had plenty of recreational things, a pool room, a post office, a kitchen, and an exercise room. What we like about this place is mainly the location and the cost.

The first thing I noticed during my tour at Holiday The Stratford was they had a beautiful dining area. We got to see and meet people and sit down and conversate with some of the residents. It was so beautiful, everything was so clean, and people were smiling. The rooms were a decent size. The staff and everybody were just so kind and polite and were willing to help. The food looked very pleasant but we did not eat. They had a library, exercise room, laundry, activity room, and a church area where they have a worship service. I also saw the garden area that the residents could work in.

Holiday The Stratford is really nice. They take very good care of their residents. They were doing the activities, so they had their whole activity day planned. They gave us a really nice tour of the place. They even have a gym. They have an on-site gym and on-site laundry. They have a salon as well. They have a pharmacy there. They have a little store where you can go to get little odds and ends. Their rooms were pretty good size because you had your living area, you had your bedroom, and your bath. You can get the option of having a bath with a walk in shower or you can get the combo with the tub and shower. They give you that option. You have the option of having your own washer and dryer connection in your room, or you could use the one in the laundry room. There is lots and lots of sunlight and natural light. You have your own personal chef that will cook whatever you want him to cook according to your diet. It was nice; that's the nice part. When you walk in there, you feel like royalty. If I had the choice to go to one, that would be one of my top ones I would want to be in.

The staff that I met at The Stratford was better than the other places I toured. The location was nice, it's convenient to stores and everything. It was nice there, the rooms were a nice size, but the only thing they did not have was the full kitchen. They have meal plans and they're also expensive. They have games like bingo and card games.

The Stratford was very nice. The facility was very clean, very inviting, and they have invited us to bring my mother. She was not with me, and they invited us to bring her back, share lunch with her, and meet some of the other residents. We were very, very impressed with everything. The sales associate that was talking with us could not have been any nicer. They were very roomy and very efficient. We were interested in a one-bedroom. I don't know that there was a one-bedroom available at this time, but they did have the model that they could have rented at the time. We are not ready to do anything, but it's certainly a place that we would feel comfortable putting our mother in. We just walked through the dining area. At the time we were there, there were no meals taking place. So, we're hoping to take my mother back and have a meal at some point, it's just not planned yet. It had everything that we would be interested in for our mother. Nothing was taking place at that time, but I think something was getting ready to take place, maybe Wheel of Fortune or some little game because people were coming into a game room.

I toured The Stratford and it's a very nice community. This facility is located in an ideal location close to a lot of different businesses. It is a place where I have considered moving to, so I'm certainly happy with where it's located. The apartments were nice, but a little smaller than the ones at another location. The staff has done a really good job on the maintenance and upkeep of the facility. The dining area was large and open, and it was very lit with a lot of natural light coming into it.

We moved my mother into The Stratford because of the services, amenities and location, and cost. The staff is very welcoming, caring and has a calm demeanor and they provide meals. They have lots of variety of activities, but they could use one more elevator. I think it's all too pricey.

I am a resident of The Stratford, and I love it here. People here are kind, generous, and very helpful. I didn't want to move into a community like this, and my kids gave me no choice. I don't want to leave it now. The staff members were extremely kind, caring, compassionate, and helpful. There's only so much you can do with the food to make it feel good. I like the layout, the whole thing. It's great and very accommodating. They have lots of activities going on every day. They have bingo, music, and games. There are just lots of things to do here.

The Stratford is a very comfortable and homey place. The staff and the residents were very welcoming and very accommodating to what your family's needs are. It's extremely convenient to doctors within the Greensboro-High Point area too. One of the things that stood out was that they give all the residents Lively monitors, so they can track their residents 24/7, whether they're on the property or off the property.

We chose The Stratford for my mother-in-law because of the location and because it was part of a network. It's called "vacation retirement," and we liked that company. It's a caring community. The staff was very friendly and very helpful in getting her acclimated to the new facility and connecting her with other residents. The food is good. They have limited activities right now, but she was able to use the hair salon and things like that, which was really helpful for her.

We went to The Stratford. The whole facility just didn't seem as well maintained as the one we have chosen, whether it be paint, floors, cleaning -- everything. It just didn't seem to be as well kept overall. I couldn't see much, so it was difficult to tell, but I think they had some activities. They had meals and an exercise facility that was really small. They had hair and nail care. It's just difficult to tell because The Stratford was a lot smaller. It was more of an apartment-like place.

My first contact with The Stratford was by phone, shortly after Covid 19 had really started to be taken seriously in NC. Shortly, after a brief conversation the lady advised me to download an app so that she might take me on a virtual tour of the facility. Once I was connected on a live session with her we took off through the community. I was able to make comments, ask questions and get direct responses as we went along. She was very knowledgeable and interested in my needs. Upon returning to her office we went over the costs, apartment sizes & locations. We went on to discuss menu, activity , transportation & related items. She was very warm, friendly, interested & a good listener. After moving in I found the staff to be genuinely interested in my needs as well as their ability to meet them. They were knowledgeable, caring, friendly, compassionate, accommodating. My room was quite large enough and made me feel right comfortable and at home. The management personnel were quick to follow up to make sure I was OK and that my needs were being taken care of. The menu gives us several choices for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is quite substantial. Overall the food is very good. Activities offered are reduced due to the pandemic and to keep the residents safe. The residents are doing well with all safety regulations in place. Guests and outside personnel are checked when they visit. I am able to come and go as long as I follow the safety rules. The grounds and apartments are well managed and clean. I am very happy here.

The Stratford has offered our family peace. It is a well operated facility and they have strived to maintain all protocols for Covid. The only thing I would change is that it should be a smoke free campus. This is not healthy for anyone living there or for visitors that have to walk through it. If smokers are allowed, they should be on the third floor all together at the end of a hall.

Our transportation is available to take us to our appointments, shopping and for special events. We can continue to live here when we need more care because there are agencies for hire as needed. The Stratford is near a shopping center and a medical facility and we can walk there is we want to. Our friends and family can visit and are welcome anytime. The cost is minimal compared to other comparable facilities. We get great services and benefits for what we pay for. I feel that I am treated with great respect.

All of our necessities are taken care of and the emergency response time is rapid. We can continue to live her even when we require care because there are agencies on site to hire as needed. Our transportation service takes us to appointments and for shopping.

I like The Stratford. They had a lot of activities, a live band in the lobby playing music, Christmas party, people doing crafts, refreshment, and games. It was a very nice and active community. Their apartments were very large and had a nice layout. The only problem was the pretty bad fog situation with the windows, but they said they will all be getting those windows replaced in 2020. The staff was great. They had a nice dining area, and they had little snacks available. The residents seemed very nice. They had some peeling wallpaper and it's a little outdated, but it was clean.

The Stratford is a wonderful place, but it's independent living so it is a completely different ballgame. Nevertheless, the staff member gave me a full tour. The rooms were more like an apartment. It would definitely make somebody feel like they are living a normal life. The lady who gave me the tour was great. She spent a lot of time with me. The place seemed to be well taken care of, and it looked like an enjoyable place to live.

The Stratford was a little older facility. The room was nice, but the prices were a little steep. The food was not too good to begin with, but it never got any better. The only thing mom would eat was a salad and sometimes the chicken. She just didn't like the food. The manager was really nice, although they never seemed to keep one very long. They rotated in and out pretty fast. The last one was a nice guy except he acted like he really cared about people, but he never went to help anybody. He kept saying he would help mom to get her rent down, but it never happened. They had church on Sundays, bingo games, people come in and play music, they had a little store and people would buy stuff, they had parakeets, and the people there had a lot of dogs. The dining room was really nice except the chairs were hard to move for the residents. They managed to change about everything as far as carpeting, and the dining room furniture was all changed up.

I was in the Stratford a few years ago, and it's very nice and beautiful, but it was too expensive for me. They had three meals, three entrees, other choices, and an open bar. We had an activities director, and she was very good. We went on trips, and we had a parking space.

I liked the Stratford. It was older and far away from us. The residents needed to do their own laundry, which was fine, but that was not what we were looking for. The people were very nice. They were honoring service members while I was there; I thought that was neat. However, I did not appreciate the meal plan.

I looked at The Stratford, and it’s so formal. I’m a very informal person. I really wouldn’t like that much formality. It’s decent and clean. They had a beautiful living room, and as far as amenities or what they had to offer, it looked like a lot: exercise rooms, games that they play, and good food.

The Stratford at High Point was equally as nice as the one my mom’s in, but a little further away from where we lived. That was the second place that we valued. I liked The Stratford. It was pleasing to the eye, and it looked nice. We ate there, and the food was really good. The cost to live there was good, but somebody told me that if, say, my mother-in-law needed help buttoning her shirt from the back, they would charge her for that. It kind of gave me a bad taste in my mouth. I don't know if it's true, but this lady who used to work there told me that the residents would complain about that sort of thing. If you are younger than 70 going in there, then it won't be a problem since you won't have trouble buttoning your shirt or crushing your pills. Younger people were staying there, which is good. I liked it okay because it was $1,000 cheaper, but then, if they charge you for every little thing, you'd be spending $3,000 anyway. The rooms had tjree large closets, and that was great.

My dad is at The Stratford. It's absolutely fantastic. They serve him three fabulous meals a day and have housekeeping that comes once a week. It's very pretty and spacious. He has a one-bedroom apartment with a living room, a full-sized refrigerator, cabinet, and stuff in the kitchen area. It's just very nice. The dining room is absolutely beautiful, and the food is delicious. They have a regulation pool table that's on the premises, bingo, arts and crafts, singers coming in to sing, and a little store once a week that you can go and buy things like toiletry items, cookies, or washing detergent. There are washers and dryers on each floor for free, and it's just fabulous. Today, my dad had shrimp, sweet potatoes, and coleslaw. They have a wonderful lunch.

There was nothing that we did not like at The Stratford. The only concern I had was that my aunt was 93, and it was independent living. If she got to the point where she could not look after herself, I would have to move her to another facility, and I did not want to do that. They showed me the apartment, which was empty and had a bedroom, a sitting area, and a bathroom. It was just a small apartment. I thought she would be more comfortable in a two-bedroom unit or a companion suite because she no longer liked to be by herself, but a bedroom by herself would give her a little privacy. The place was very clean. They offered everything I thought any senior would be looking for.

The Stratford was okay. They took us around and showed us all the facilities and what they had to offer. The rooms were large. The staff were courteous but they didn't really inform us about the CIF which I didn't exactly know what that was for. The dining area was nice. The chairs seemed to roll away from mom but she has gotten used to it. The only complaint she had was it takes so long for them to get her food. There are usually two choices for the meal and there's more food than mom can eat. They have a library, a chapel, an exercise room, and they have places outside for the residents to walk. They also allow service dogs and small pets. They have activities everyday, some days it's bingo. Overall, I was pleased with it, and mom likes this place better.

The Stratford is very lovely and beautiful inside and out. The staff were good. Mom has a studio apartment which is pretty small, but compared to the others we looked at, it's very nice. There's a step to get in and out of the shower and three pull cords in the room: one by the bed, one by the sink, and one in the bathroom. She has a back door going to her garden, and I find that to be very good because more light and air can come in. The dining room looks very nice. They can improve the options for the food and speed up the process of serving them. Overall, it is a very nice place. They also have a pond with ducks and geese.

We went to The Stratford. It was very great. They were very intelligent and very knowledgeable, and they answered any questions that we had. The apartments were very nice. It had enough room. The one that we stayed in was really too big for us, but it was very nice and clean, and there we no sign of bug or nothing like that. We were not able to go to any of the activities because my husband was having a pacemaker and a defibrillator put back in. However, the food was very good. You had different choices. I chose to visit The Stratford mainly because I want to be in the area close to High Point. I'm used to living in a country or in a small town with not a lot of traffic. It is also near some of my relatives who live there. The Stratford is a very nice facility. I like its location. There's a good restaurant nearby, and since I like a good restaurant, that's a good point for me. The staff was very helpful in trying to answer any questions I had. I like the efficiency apartment that we looked at. It was on the second floor and it had a nice balcony. The windows appeared to be larger than it actually was. I really liked that! Some of the rooms were not as roomy as this one. With regards to food that they serve for their residents, they have heavy meals at lunch and light meals at supper. I went there to have a supper one night and it was good but only to a point. I won't be satisfied with it if it were like that on a daily basis.
