My mother is in The Mountain View Nursing & Rehab Center right now. They’re very professional. A lot of different specialists, like the geriatrics doctor, the occupational therapist, and the head nurse, have all come to see her, take statistics on her, and get her set up for some rehabilitation so she can get back to who she was and come back here in a month or so. This community was one of the top-rated ones. It was a coincidence that one of my best friends is the head nurse there. She’s an excellent nurse who's very professional, knowledgeable. I’ve always heard what a good job they do there. For a nursing home, the place is very updated and has a nice feeling to it. The facility itself is a little old, but they keep it nice, bright, and very clean. You don’t get the sense that it’s old and tired. The staff is very attentive and excellent, which I think is why they get such a good rating.

The Mountain View looked cleaned and nice. The people were very nice, but they need to hire more people. The attendants were very nice people; the PT and OT were really great. But it really took them a while to respond when you press the call button.

My Grandmother was here for rehabilitation and then went to Long term. There was no way that I could afford to quit my job so I had to put her in a Nursing home, something no one wants to be in a position to do. The Mountain view was my first choice why? No change over in staff or very little. Happy workers make happy caregivers. The kindness that was bestowed upon her was beyond words from the staff all the way up to the Administrator. I could not say enough about how wonderful this Nursing Home is. The staff make the patients life what it is not the other patients who will sometimes yell or curse as most have some form of dementia. I have seen some unreasonable family members carry on and yell and scream at the nurses and Doctors in front of patients and others stemming from frustration that their family member is either sick or dieing and I guess feeling helpless. I have watched the Nurses here when they thought no one was looking being caring and loving toward the patients. The room, hallways and general areas were clean, no smell of urine and the housekeeping staff take great pride in their work as some have been there for over 20 years, this to me speaks volumes! The patients are all clean, well fed and dressed and washed everyday. My Grandmother was changed and never was wet or unkept. The food was great with optional menus if you wanted something different plus anytime I asked for snacks or drinks they were provided as well. My Grandmother passed away before I could get there in time and the staff stayed with her so she was not alone. I could not ask for more. I give this place 5 stars all the way!

My father stayed at Mountain View Nursing and rehab after a knee replacement surgery. The rehab staff was phenomenal and he is well on his way to recovery. However, I was not at all impressed with the actual facilities or nursing care staff. His head doctor was on some kind of power trip that hindered his care- she was very demanding and bossed around the other staff as well as my father. The food was almost inedible- and I'm not really sure why everything was so overly salted- especially because most of the patients should be trying to watch or limit their sodium intake. Also, there were times when some unwell individuals in wheelchairs were unattended in the hallways- numerous times I saw the same patient ramming her chair into the food cart. There was another older female patient who was posted up right near the nurse's station who sid the nastiest and meanest things to my mother. All in all, my father was determined to get out of there asap due to the care of care and concern, but also because it really felt like this was where many of the people came to die, and were simply forgotten about. Very sad.
