My brother is a resident of Applegate Manor. They have helped tremendously in extending his life and giving him good quality of life. The individual rooms are not air conditioned; however, the main lounge area is air conditioned and the building itself never seems too hot during the summer. This is the only downside. They provide a lot of individual attention and have very nice private rooms. The food is good and they provide activities. I reviewed many Assisted Living Facilities in Western NY and this is by far the best facility and the cost is well below the other places as well. Also, I have found all of the residents to be very lucid and friendly.

My mom is at Applegate Manor right now. She likes the place. She was put there and didn’t want to move. It’s very nice. The only issue I have with it is the main rooms up on the second floor don’t have air conditioning, but it’s up north so it’s really not a big issue. They want all the residents to be downstairs in their common area where they can play games and do stuff to keep them occupied. I’ve seen the food as they serve it a couple of times for dinner with my mom; it looked fine. They can get food all day long, 24 hours a day.
