The staff and residents at The Eliot at Catskill have been very, very friendly and supportive. My friend is settling in nicely. She developed a cold and the staff stepped up and has been taking great care of her while she's recovering. The residents are encouraged to decorate their doors. There's a smaller dining room and a larger dining room at the facility and she is in a smaller dining room. The cook comes out and chats with the residents during their meals to check and see how they like their food. There are very comfortable sitting areas throughout the facility and a nice activities room on the lower level.

I went and toured this facility with my mother. The staff were very welcoming. I was assisted instantly. The tour was very helpful and gave insight on what to expect in the next steps before admitting my mom into this setting. The rooms were well put together and very clean. One of my moms friends live at the Eliot already and tell her how much she enjoys it. When the time is right this is the first place we will choose for my mother to move into.

I love The Eliot! Recently, my family and I had to make the tough decision to put our aunt in a senior care facility. We are her only family and she had began to need more care than we could provide. We viewed many senior care facilities. This was a really long and emotional process, and very difficult on us all. But at the Eliot, we all, especially my aunt, really felt at home. The entire process, from the beginning to end, made us feel so cared for and comforted. The marketing girl was so empathetic and knew just how we were feeling and how hard this is. When we were there we knew we were making the right decision. My aunt was even excited about the activities! I hadn't seen her excited for quite some time. I am so incredibly grateful for the staff and level of care we received. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We visited The Eliot at Catskill yesterday. They were celebrating National Ice Cream day, all residents and staff were involved and absolutely loving it! The staff showed us through the entire facility and were all very nice, they even invited us to join the Ice Cream festivities! The Eliot is definitely on the top of our list for Mom.

The Eliot at Catskill was a very pleasant facility to visit. I had a relative who had decided to stay there after he reached a certain age and was no longer able to fully care for himself. The Eliot's staff seemed very polite and courteous. It's such a stellar assisted living facility that I have even considered staying there, myself, one day in the future.

One thing that I tell people about that speaks volumes for the Eliot is the number of staff who have been there so long. I think it is incredible in this day and age when people change careers so quickly.

I placed a very dear friend of mine at the Eliot because it was close to my house. What I was hoping for was caring employees that made this transition an easy one. I have never met more caring nurses as the Eliot Staff. They help her in the morning to get dressed when I cant be there and always stop in her room to see if she would be interested in any activities. They call her "beautifiul" everytime they drop off medication which truly brightens her day. It's the little things in life that are appreciated when you get older that we overlook at a young age. The staff have certainly gone out of their way to make this life a better life for my friend. Strongly recommend to anyone who needs that extra care.

Moving into the Eliot has been one of our greatest blessings! We moved here a little over a year ago. We could not be any happier!! We feel loved and well taken care of! We really love the staff as well as all the worker’s who go out of their way to help us. They take care of all our needs with a smile. They make us feel like family! Thank you for introducing us to the Eliot!

My mom recently suffered a fall and after a short term stay at a rehab center, we made the difficult decision for her to move to an Assisted Living Facility. Thankfully, the decision became much easier after we toured The Eliot and met with Colleen. Her patience, her calm demeanor and her attentiveness put us at ease immediately! Now three months later, Mom is doing wonderfully and she is surrounded by friends and caring staff! Thank you to everyone at The Eliot for doing such a great job!

My mom lovingly calls The Eliot her home. They provide her with confidence to stay as active and mobile as possible. The daily activities provide her the stimulation to participate and interact with other residents. The social interaction rounds out her life at The Eliot and is very important.

I recently placed my Dad at the Eliot and I could not be more pleased. I was a bit hesitent after reading some of the reviews but when we toured the place Dad fell in love with it right away. The staff are very caring and attentive. I asked some of the staff why there was negative reviews and what changed. They told me that they had an administrator that didn't know what she was doing but the current administrator understands the business and is concerned for the residents wellbeing. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I visit this facility frequently and it is horrible...I would never put my parents here. Although the staff directly associated with the patients are mostly decent, the place is run horrible, management treats the staff unfairly and just plain disrespectful, they have ordinary people without a license or any kind give out medications to all residents. If there was ever an emergency at this facility many lives would be lost....consider any place but here!

After a rough year with mom at home we made the move into the Eliot at Catskill the staff was so help full with the transition it wasn't easy at first for mom but over the year she has become a different person we cant even get her to come out with us for lunch or dinner when we come by shes usually sitting playing card or doing a crossword with her friends. We highly recommend The Eliot for anyone looking to place a relative or friend!!!

Recently, our uncle, who was just put in the Eliot, was found not to have had a bath in over 7 days. In additon, a cup of medication with somebody else's name was found on the bureau in his room. When confronted about this, the aide said it wouldnt matter anyway as it was only Thyroud medication. I don't care what anybody says.....no matter what the medication, it could have adverse side affects with one of the medications that he or anybody else in the same prediciment would take. We are now looking to get him the hell outa there. This is scarey business. If you want proper care, this is NOT YOUR PLACE!

This is a terrible facility it does not take care of its residents, they DO NOT FOLLOW UP on there care These Residents come to the Doctors office Dirty, confused, not knowing why they are there, we set them up for procedure and they never show up. When we follow-up to find out why the facility ( The Eliot) either does not know what we are talking about or says the patient never saw the doctor. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this Place to anyone. It should be closed down.
