My mother Mary spent her last days here at Oceananna. I will never forget the place. I seldom ride by and have thoughts of visiting my mother. I know se was very ill when she arrived there, but a nice older nurse maid, whose name was also MaryJane took care of her. She was improving, until they moved her room to the other side of the building. I don't know what happen but Maryjane left I guess and my mother took a turn for the worse, and never recovered from the bedsores that Maryjane had cured. All I know when MaryJane was taking care of her she was dry, fed, and her sores were healing. It was also a beautiful home until you got back inside in the a new area were my mother now was and all you could smell was urine. I think It was more my mother also she stopped eating. I can remember her saying I don't want to live anymore if I could not wash myself, and she wasn't we were, I and my sister and the nurses. She lasted six months at most. Then mom was gone from us.
