I had friends who were in skilled nursing care at Covenant Living of Keene. For those who can afford it, it's like being at a resort. I haven't had much interaction with the staff, but everyone was helpful and pleasant, and seemed to know what they were doing. They also made me feel welcome, and I've not heard any complaints from my friends who were there. They have tons of activities, depending on how healthy you are. One friend who is somewhat of a handicap goes to exercise classes, church services, and excursions. The other highly educated one found other poets to spend time with, as there are things like a writer's group there. There were also great hiking trails and things like that. You're getting a luxurious retirement with the money you're spending there.
