SarahCare Adult Day Services offers a day program that provides respite for family members who care for loved ones at home. Its activities are differentiated for adults who need special assistance and peace of mind during the day. The care programs integrate social and medical services in a friendly environment. The Center is open Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Most of our participants attend 3-4 times a week, but other participants whose care-givers work full time attend 6 days a week. Our Best Features: The exceptional staff includes an experienced geriatric activity director, an activity coordinator, a registered nurse, and numerous aides. A delicious hot meal and two nutritional snacks are served daily. Programs run continuously, including crafts, games, physical exercises, gardening, music sing-alongs, and outings to local parks and museums. Additional services include onsite podiatry expertise, beauty treatments, showers, and informational presentations on topics of general and specific interest, such as scrap-booking, local history, indoor gardening, and practical care tips. Our center includes a friendly, equal mix of men and women, so interaction is like a community center or large family. We also have a friendly, perky pet dog named Skip on hand, completing the friendly, homelike setting.
