The rooms are huge and lots of natural light from everywhere. The food is great, the staff are kind and really try hard to take care of everyone. It is clean and well maintained. Administrator is always available and will listen and work to solve any issue that you may have. We love having our friend here at it is close for us to visit often. It is a wonderful place.

Rooms were nice maintenance did not clean regularly. Numerous item lost at our cost had to replenish. Laundry never done on schedule Over year mom was there we had to bring home at least 12 times. Did not follow contract as far as showers and Director / management was awful to work with. Made promises did not keep lied about numerous things. Had a hard time getting funds back upon death of mother. Talked with other residents family they did same thing to them

I liked the location of The Grande at Laumeier Park because it was close to my home. I liked their apartment even though it was small. The one that I would have picked out had plenty of windows and light, but the hallways there were darker and I didn't see residents milling around, except one man. He was a gorgeous guy and he was nice. He and his wife lived there, but I just didn't see anybody else. It was odd to me. They had things. They had a beautiful craft room and a gym type area, but they had smaller seating throughout the facility.

I found The Grande at Laumeier Park for my mom. The person I talked to met me on a Saturday midday. We had a nice chat in a beautiful room that was like a little conference room. She explained everything in detail, and we took a tour. The facility is clean. It's brightly painted and not super bright, but calmly and brightly painted. The furniture is nice. It's not elegant, but it's nice. The place is well coordinated. The rooms are a pretty good size. It is on the road, but it's back behind a shopping center. There are woods between the shopping center and it. There are woods and green all behind it. There is a very nice assisted living patio and a very nice apartment. The memory care is where my mom is going to be. It's locked on the second floor. The elevators are behind the door. It looks like every other door on the floor. That door is card-keyed to open/close. It's very secure. Even people visiting the people on the first floor or third floor, can get in the elevator. However, they cannot access the second floor. It doesn't open unless you have a card key. I went there yesterday afternoon just to talk to Carol. I had made the decision it was going to be where she was going to be placed. She found me three rooms to choose from in the back of the facility that faced the park. I picked one of those rooms, which I thought she would be very comfortable in. It's very tranquil and very quiet. They have soft music. They do restaurant style dining. They can pick from a worded menu or a picture menu. They have a separate menu that is things that the resident will eat, just in case they don't like anything on the regular menu. The dietitian has the rule that nobody goes hungry, basically. There are three meals a day, plus unlimited snacks. They have snacks, drinks, water, juices, and stuff like that for the residents for when they want or need them. I only met two of the nurses, but it was in passing. They said hello. They were very cordial. They were very kind. When I saw them with the residents, the aides were very kind. They were going and getting all the residents and walking them down to the dining room for dinner. They publish an activity calendar every month. They go down and knock on the door and get the residents to come out for activities. They have a nice, small, and wood fenced area, like a yard off the second floor. It's actually on solid ground. They can go out with any one of the aides or the nurses. If they want to go outside, they will basically unlock the door and let them out. They go out and stay with them. When they're ready to come in, they bring them back in. When she goes in, they'll give her a bracelet. That bracelet will detect a fall. If she's in her bedroom at night or if she leaves the room, it will go off at the nurse's station to let them know she's wandering. It was by far the best, cleanest, and brightest place that I looked at in Missouri. I thought it was laid out very well. It is like a pale yellow. It's a very bright community with white walls and white baseboards. The rugs are all carpeted, except for the rooms. The rooms are always in a dark color or light wood. It was a very pretty facility.

The Grande at Laumeier Park was nice. We looked at the memory care and I give it all high marks. They are our top 2. It's beautiful. It looks like a chateau. The room was spacious, updated, and very nice. Carol was fabulous. She was very knowledgeable, took her time with us, and showed us all sorts of rooms. She was great. They have everything you need and the menu looked lovely.

We liked it because it was nestled in the trees. The view outside the living room and bedroom were all trees and woods. They have a refrigerator, and then you bring your other stuff. The staff was very warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and a very personable person. They have a little courtyard and a patio.

It gets a 5 across the board. That's the place I'm going to try to get my brother in. They are topnotch people. The staff is excellent. The place is a little small for me, but that's OK. The staff is so important. They showed me the rooms. They bent over backwards to help me, so they are number one. It's a nice location. It's convenient, and it's off of Lindbergh. It's a good fit for us because it's not too far. I like that they honor their veterans, and the staff is excellent. The staff is what makes it or breaks it. I give them a 10. They are accommodating, and I know that he'll be in good hands over there. They have an Honor Wall for the veterans, which is very nice. They have a large activity room and a large area for you to come in and sit with your loved one if you want to. They had gardens and stuff. It's just an excellent place.

It is very nice; it's a fine community. My sister's room is kept clean and there are some things she's involved in like activities and physical therapy. They also have a big activities calendar, and there are a lot of activities that people can join in on. They have a movie room and a kitchen where people can meet and do things if they want to. They have plenty of amenities like that.

It is a new community, so it looked nice. I like that they take care of my relative. They are a lot of things to do every day, and they provide three meals a day. They also do everything for the residents, they do the laundry and everything else that my relative needs. The dining room looks nice, and the facilities are good.

This is my second choice. The back part of it overlooks the park, so it's a beautiful setting. My mom would absolutely love that. It's very new and absolutely gorgeous. I am also very impressed with their memory care unit. I really like the structure, the layout, the activities, the outside garden area, and the gardening that they would encourage for the residents to do in the memory care. They allow even people in memory care to have small dogs, which shows that they are looking out for the person's needs. They also have common areas and several different areas where you can sit and read. My mom would be very comfortable there.
