My mom didn't care for The Waters of White Bear Lake. They did not have any transportation for the people. You had to coordinate that on your own. That was a huge, huge thing for my mom, especially in the winter. I thought it was nice, but my mom felt like everyone was looking down at her. The people there have a little more in their pocketbook than my mother, so I think she let that intimidate her. It was very classy. They have a chandelier. The lady that showed us around was very nice. We went to their restaurant, and the food was really good. However, the people weren't as friendly, so that turned my mom off. The room looked nice. They probably had it staged like a nice model home, and I liked it. I'm 60 years old, and I wouldn't mind living there if I had no one else and if I was all alone. It had high-end cabinets.

I didn't like The Waters of White Bear Lake a whole lot. The place seemed very clean and the staff that took me around was very nice, but it just didn't feel quite as friendly and I didn't like the price, either. The apartments were very nice and quite large, but the kitchen area was small. The dining area looked nice.

Nice building and grounds. Many times there is no one at the front desk, and sometimes no one answers the concierge door buzzer. Light housekeeping is basically vacuuming, no dusting. They ran out of my sibling’s seizure medication, but were able to get some in the middle of the night. I suspect standards have fallen compared to pre-COVID.

We're moving Dad into The Waters of White Bear Lake next weekend. Very clean, set up, very nice, with very friendly staff. It's a nice place, and easy to work with. The apartment was very spacious, and the one that we picked, he can be assisted or independent. So we'll never have to move him again. It has room for a kitchen table. The dining area was very nice, open, and spacious. I think there's three different places in that one you can eat at. It's just clean and well kept up. They have plenty of events, and an event calendar that should be very helpful. There was something going on every day. Shelly was excellent to work with.

The Waters of White Bear Lake has a patio and a little courtyard. They had a nice walking path that went around their entire building, and we walked about a little bit. They also have the movies, coffee hour, arts and crafts, and Bible studies. They have both independent and assisted living. The staff that gave the tour was wonderful. She's very informative, all the residents stop to talk to her, and she was very friendly. Because of COVID, we've seen the menu but we didn't try any of the food.

My mother moved into The Waters of White Bear Lake. We're very happy. They take care of all of her meds, they order them, they deliver them to her room, and those are the main things that we need from them right now. We switched to their in-home doctor, which is really nice. They do have some activities, and it's not open like I think it normally would be. I am her essential caregiver, so I am the only one who can go in. I can see her two hours a week in her apartment, otherwise nobody can come into her apartment.

I'm in a place called The Waters of White Bear Lake. Actually I was in here before. Then I had some kind of spell and ended up in the hospital. I was here when they had dining service. It was really pretty elegant. Great food. Now, the food is mediocre. The staff members are good. Because of the food, and because of not having guests in the building, it's crummy. They have a gym, but it's not open yet. They have a couple of PTs, and you have to make an appointment with them. It's not open, but it's available. Yesterday, they had a band in the garage, but it was windy out. Whoever wanted to go down there could go watch it. It's not as good as it used to be, but it could be worse. Because things have changed since March, everything seems crummy, but the whole world has changed.
