The staff in Owatonna Care Center LLC is really nice. Even if they are short with staff, they are still able to manage everything. They take good care of the residents well. The rooms are clean and fairly nice. I saw their dining room once, and it was beautiful. They also use it for their activities. They have a different activity every night like bingo and card games. Overall, the place is good and secured enough. They just need to be better staffed and be more organized.

My husband was in Owatonna Care Center one time, and right now the state has taken over the facility. He wasn't happy there. They were probably short on space, so they brought him to the ward where no one talks. There were no conversation during dinner, and people just didn't communicate, so he was kind of unhappy there. They were understaffed, they didn't have enough people to take care of the patients, and the physical therapy wasn't very good. They had somebody that was doing several people at the same time. He didn't get very good therapy there. He said he was there for two weeks, and in that time there was only one good meal.
