French Manor LaFranier was very small, nice, and quaint. There were only 14 people there. The rooms were small, even the large rooms were small. It was just a bedroom with a tiny living room and no kitchenette. There were a couple rooms that had showers in it, but most of them did not. The one we saw did not. You had to tell them when you wanted a shower, and they would set the shower room up. That turned us off right there because I don't want Mom to have to share a shower room with other people. The people were very nice. The staff was very nice. The other people looked like they were doing OK. Nobody looked like they were stressed or anything. They had a nice community room and a nice dining room. It's in kind of a wooded area. They've got a big outdoor deck that you can go out and sit on for three seasons. Right now, we've got snow. It was all on one floor, and it had two wings to it. In the middle of the wings were the TV room and the dining room. They had cleaning service once a week and laundries availability. They had a salon. Mom kind of liked it except for the no shower. They all had assistive devices, like in the bathroom, or they had a necklace with GPS on it, so they knew where you were. It wasn't substandard or anything.
