I have been in a number of Nursing & Rehabilitation homes and ICMF is by far, one of the best!! There were always fun activities going on and the food was really good! All of the staff were kind & caring and seemed to enjoy their jobs and care about their patients. My mom was there for a couple of weeks for Rehab and I went every day to visit. If/when I ever need rehab/skilled nursing/long term care, this is where I'd like to be!! The rooms were large and comfortable. The outdoor areas were very well maintained and inviting - especially the fountain patio, and the bird aviary was amazing!! Thank you all for the great work you do!!

Iosco Co Medical Care Facility has really good care per patient. I haven't had any issues at all. They’re in and out of my mom’s room all the time checking on her. Anytime I pop in there, my mom is always good. They’re either feeding her or dressing her or bathing her. It is a great facility with a bird sanctuary and residential cats that actually come into the residents' rooms, which is very soothing to my mom. Everything they bring to my mom to eat is really good. I know that they have activities like bingo, offer church services, and crafts, but my mom is really sick with pancreatic cancer and dementia at the same time, so she can’t participate. I know that they put a calendar in every resident’s room that shows the time and what activities they’re doing, and every day there’s an activity. I think it is a great place.

I visited this facility to make sure that we had looked at all of the options before deciding on which place would be suitable for my grandmother. We set up an appointment for early in the morning and wanted to make sure we were there for most of the daily events to make sure we had a good understanding of the facility and their amenities. We were very impressed by the overall appearance of the facility, it was very aseptic and clean. The staff wore gloves when dealing with residents and frequently washed their hands. The staff was very patient with the patients and seemed to genuinely care about them and their wellbeing. The rooms offered were large and the resident could make the room into whatever they wanted to. This means they could bring furniture and pictures from home or just have the facility furnish it for them. The food that we were able to sample was very good and there was quite a variety offered in order to please most residents. The residents are also allowed to have people bring in food or order delivery from restaurants. The price was quite reasonable for the amount of amenities and comfort that was offered at Iosco County Medical Facility. Other amenities include: swimming pool with water aerobics, exercise room with daily classes offered, library, game room with games such as bingo and crossword hunts, and a large outdoor area available for walks and time outside.

The facility was clean and the nurses and other caregivers seem to care about the patients. The patients themselves seemed happy. When I was there they provided activities for their patients. The food seemed interesting and nutritional. As is the case with most nursing homes, there was that smell that seems to be present when there are a lot of medically fragile seniors. They had a nice outdoor space for those patients who were capable of going outside and for those who were not, there was a sitting area with bird feeders and many types of flowers. It was very soothing. There were vending machines with nutritional snacks available. There were a lot of Alzheimer patients at this facility. The doors were secure and safe for those patients which tended to wander. There were many family members there visiting with their elderly relatives. All in all I felt that this was one of the better nursing homes that I have been to.
