My father has been at Lynwood Manor Healthcare Center for 2 months now. They've been great. Everybody is very nice, very caring, and accommodating. They're doing activities all the time. They do bingo, different kinds of ball games, balloon games, and arts and crafts. We were very blessed to get him here.

Lynwood Manor is a great place! I was nervous at first, but I brought Grammy there because her doctor, nurses, and social worker all said it is the place to go for rehab. One of them even had a family member there last month. Well, Grammy loved it! The staff was so kind and took great care of her. She couldn’t wait to go see her rehab friends every day. I highly recommend this place!

My mother was admitted to Lynnwood Manor after a recent heart surgery. From day one, her care management was mismanaged/negligent. She was given another patient's medications by mistake for the first three days of her stay, resulting in blood sugar levels over 500. These levels continue to be 400+. I am the one who caught this mistake on the third day. She was to be on a diabetic meal plan, but this order was frequently overlooked, forcing me to attend every meal in order to remove sugar concentrated foods, drinks, desserts from her tray. Long wait times for care staff to respond to patient call lights. I observed care staff reading newspapers, visiting at nurses station, ignoring call lights. My mother was lucky to have me there to walk directly to care staff for assistance. Food stains, soiled fabric on patient chairs in my mother's room. Broken faucet in bathroom, difficulty getting wheelchair into bathroom because of tightness of door limited bathroom space. Difficulty sleeping because visitors were in shared room during late evening hours. In summary, we now have my mother in another facility that is conducive to healing.

My uncle stayed for a while at Lynwood. The thing that I found there and that everyone liked was the size of the rooms and the space that each individual had. Also, it has large common areas where people could go out of their rooms and have visitors. Everything else seems to be at par with our expectations and so with the staff. It was very clean.

Lynwood is fine. It's kind of outdated and old. However, the food is good and the staff is very knowledgeable

This provider was picked by my uncle who did a lot of research to find the most caring, competent staff in the area. The staff was always very friendly and competent. The floors, tables, and overall facility were very clean. The smell could have been better at times though. There were many activities to take part in. Puzzles and games were abundant as were times of worship. Whenever a consultation was needed, it was arranged for in a timely manner. The staff worked hard for quite a while at physical therapy to help grandma become able to stand again after her stroke. She always enjoyed the food there. I observed well balanced meals cooked correctly and the options were more than I expected. Dessert was always available too. We probably made eight to ten visits in all and never had a bad experience. I've worked in about 30 nursing homes to provide eye care and I thought this was among the top three homes I had visited in southeast Michigan. Most homes were deplorable. The good homes, like Lynwood, were always located in rural areas. The quality of staff is just better in the rural areas.
