"I went to look at Wellington Meadows. I found the room to be okay. But I was a little concerned about the fact that they didn't have a regular cook, and they had no housekeeper. I wasn't comfortable with the way things were set up. I thought it was an older facility. The staff members were understanding. I saw somebody playing with a toy, and she was fascinated with the toy. They didn't have an activity director at the time, so that concerns me a little bit. The staff came forth with a lot of good information and everything. The facility seemed unkept."

"My mother has Alzheimer's disease and she has been to Sienna Crest. I have nothing but great words to say about this facility and its owner. She really puts her heart and soul into this facility and it shows not only by the level of care provided but also in her willingness to help others. The home is always clean, always smells delightful and the home cooked meals are absolutely amazing. There are many activities and whenever I visit my mother she seems to always be doing something different. I love the fact that my mother is well taken care of and I can have the piece of mind that she is in great hands. "

"My sister will be moving into Reena Senior Living. They had nice facilities. I just felt that it would be a good fit for my sister. Everyone we have talked to has been very friendly and very helpful. They have a nice-sized room with a mini refrigerator and a nice view of the outside. It's light and airy. It has a beautiful walk-in bathroom with a walk-in shower. They had exercise, crafts, and special events available at different times. They have a beauty salon, a library, an exercise room, and a common area."

"I have found Fairhaven Senior Services and I have signed up. It has been very good. I will be moving in in December because they’re building a duplex for me. They had the stand alone duplexes, and I like that. The people there are very good. I was very satisfied. I like the nursing staff, and I like the atmosphere. It’s the highest in my estimation. I’ve seriously looked at four others, and this is the one I chose. I would say it’s very good. Probably the biggest reason I preferred Fairhaven was because of the possibility to live in a villa and not have to move into an apartment. I’m just not an apartment type of person, so it’s a personal preference. Fairhaven was a little bit better kept up than either of the other two places. It is better for the continuing care part. That was very important to me. "

"My mother moved into Our House Senior Living - Whitewater Memory Care. The staff is all very, very nice. It has a warm and comfortable atmosphere. It's quite a small place; I think the maximum number of residents is 20. They do home cooking there. The staff members cook in kind of an open-concept kitchen dining room. Daily, they do activities, like arts and crafts, and bingo."

"The View at Johnson Creek was awesome. It looked out over everything, and my brother could sit outside. It's way up on top and high on a hill. It overlooks kind of the downtown business area. My brother likes to people watch, so he could watch traffic. It's across from a huge Menards way down below, it's far like a quarter of a mile away, but you could see it. It's only two years old, so the cleanliness, the newness, that I would rate high. Staff wise, they told me right up front, the nurse said they wouldn't be able to handle the care that my brother needs. The person who gave me a tour was very nice and the facility is very clean. It's just an awesome place to send a loved one. It does have just one general dining room."

"We visited Harbor House while in the Wisconsin area looking at possible places for our uncle to live. We really liked the exterior's beautiful landscaping with tree-lined walkways and ample seating areas. The residents may also safely navigate the grounds for outdoor exercise. This facility's many communal rooms include a library, warm living room and many other places for seniors to easily participate other stimulating activities. The dining areas were lovely, with nice decors and furniture. The food looked and smelled appetizing. The seniors are offered a variety of choices each day from the interesting menus. Healthy snacks are offered regularly and whenever desired. . The exercise center includes yoga and aerobics exercise classes. The equipment is available with instruction and assistance as needed. Residents are encouraged to exercise on a daily basis. The dining room was quite nice, with plenty of space. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The living spaces were generous, with thoughtful designs and lovely decors, each according to the resident's desires and needs. The bathrooms had safety rails and seats for easy access The planned activities include everything from exercise to hosted book readings and arts and crafts. The residents are also taken to the many interesting cultural events in Janesville and surrounding areas, such as art and music gatherings. The facility incorporates spiritual, educational, and social interests into the resident's individual life plans. The staff was caring to all of the residents we saw -- of varying capability. It is clear that all of the residents' needs are met very well at this facility. It was clear that the seniors really enjoyed living in their well designed environment. "

"I thought Harbor House was great although a little expensive -- little bit higher than what we could have swung. The staff was great, they seemed very friendly, and I liked them. They had a board with the activities written on them, but I didn’t see anything going on when we were there. The rooms are adequate, the assisted living downstairs had an individual little kitchen and bathroom and that is not a little independent. I thought it was a beautiful facility; it looks clean, has beautiful grounds, and accesses the outdoors. There were two staff members that we talked to, and it was a comfortable feeling. "

"From the time we brought mom to view the facility and stay there, mom has always praised the staff on how helpful they are and how clean they keep the facility. Our family has also commented several times on how clean the facility is. As mom has progressed with her dementia, I can't thank all the staff enough for all the care, understanding, and compassion they show every resident there. The staff is so wonderful at making sure that our family concerns or questions are answered, and they are always very supportive in guiding us to get any additional care that would be helpful for our mother. I can't thank everyone at Our House enough for all their support they have given me and our family to go through this journey our mother."

"My father moved into Three Pillars Riverside Lodge Assisted Living. It's new and it's bright. The people there are super friendly. They have an activity every day. You can take a walk in the woods, along the Bark River, which is kind of a pretty area. The Director of Activities is very creative. If you want to do something, you have the opportunity to do something. Their staff is outstanding."

"My mother is in Milestone Senior Living - Stoughton. The staff has been nice, warm, and welcoming. We were able to do a little family gathering before Christmas. We're still allowed to visit and things like that. There are just more precautions, which is important due to COVID. We are welcome there any time. They encourage people to visit. She enjoys being there. They have different music programs and other activities. Today, she was able to listen to a musical performance, which was nice. There's a hair salon which she loves, so she's able to get her hair cut, styled, and washed. She's able to come and go and so my dad can take her out to go to Culver's or can take her to appointments if need be. It just feels like a home environment. She's doing well there. We feel she's safe. Some people can care for her and provide her with the care that she needs 24 hours a day. She is in the memory care section. She has her own room with a private bathroom and shower, but it's like a one-room mini apartment. She's able to have a mini-refrigerator in there. There isn't anything more than that. She dines in with the other residents in the dining room, which is nice. There's a library and a place where you could have a family gathering. It's like a private area that had a mini kitchen. We were able to have a mini family gathering with all the grandkids, which was nice. There's some food that my mom likes, and there are some things she doesn't like so much, but she's also kind of picky. I've seen the menu. She's got her favorite people that work there. Just like everywhere, it's short-staffed and different people come in. She has her favorites and appreciates them when they are there."

"My dad moved into Drumlin Reserve. It is a very nice facility with very friendly and helpful people, and very accommodating. I can't say enough about them. They're very good and very attentive. They've called us when my father was not feeling good to let us know. It is assisted living. They only have one room and they set up another room for my father as part of a respite type facility. It's an assisted living, but he's paying extra for the respite part. The place is very clean, neat, and tidy. We kind of shopped around a little bit and they were very reasonable. They have like a happy hour one night a week. There is bingo and exercise classes. They have a movie night. A week ago, they had a night where they had dinner for outside people as well, and the proceeds went to the Alzheimer's association. They have stuff all the time. If the person living there chose to do something, they could take a van and they take you shopping to various stores around town. They have a little coffee bar in the entranceway, and they meet there sometimes in the afternoon. We are overall very impressed with the place. I would definitely tell anybody else to go there."
