"We liked Sunrise of Bridgewater very much, but it's out of my mother's price range. It was beautiful. I liked everything about it. The location was decent. The facility was brand new and beautifully decorated. It looked more like a resort than anything, but they hadn't opened yet when I went there. The staff was very nice, very caring, and did a nice job showing me the different rooms and level of care. My mom has dementia. She would be okay in the regular population, but would have to be moved at some point to a more secured place. They were still working on the main staircase. The area had affluent people in it. The apartments and the bathrooms were nice. They had nice rooms to accommodate parties."

"My mother is at Memory Care Living. She has been there for two months now. It is a private home with 15 bedrooms, and each resident gets their own bedroom. The house was completely renovated last fall. It is very clean. The facility is very nice. I give very high marks to the staff that works there. They are very caring and very engaged with the residents. The open floor plan in the family room, and the kitchen is a nice feature because it gives it a very homey feel. Whenever they're preparing food, it is right out in the open. The kitchen is separate, but there are no walls between the kitchen and the main gathering area. I think that's a nice plus. Even though it is a private home, it has a lot of amenities. My mother is very pleased with it. "

"Spring Hills Somerset was definitely nicer than the other community we saw. They had space for parking, and the grounds almost looked like a golf course. It was huge and spacious. The great room, the different kitchens, and amenities were also very nice. The one downfall was when we went to the other floor, it reeked of urine. That pretty much closed the deal for me because my father is still very active and physical and does his own thing. The young lady who accommodated us was very nice, and they had nice activities. They also sent a packet in the mail for me. We had lunch, and the food was decent."

"They primarily had 2-bedroom apartments, and my uncle did not want a 2-bedroom apartment. He wanted his own private apartment. The staff was wonderful. The food was wonderful. The tour was great. Even though the bedroom was private, he doesn't want to share the apartment with another person. Food was fine."

"I toured this facility last week. I met with the community relations director. She took her time and didn't rush me through. She refered to the place as a community not a facility which I liked very much. The residents who live there were engaged in an activity that was age appropriate. The residents looked well kept and happy. The interior was well kept and clean. The staff were introduced to me during the tour. Some of the staff have been there a long time, over 5 years. The community relations director said she was fairly new there but was very knowledgeable about the place. The rooms are nice and all the utilities are included! There is no charge for an evaluation of care. The rates are good. Overall it is my #1pick of the 10 places in the Hillsborough area listed. I also looked at 3 other places not listed but this is the best of them all. I put a deposit on a room and am excited to move my dad in! "

"I visited Mira Vie at Fanwood. It's nicely decorated, very clean, and very peaceful. It is a rather elegant situation, and I was told that it used to be a hotel, so I'm not surprised that it looks like that. They have two buildings, one for assisted living and the other for independent living. I took a closer look at assisted living. The rooms they showed me were kept well. They were small, just a room with a bed, so it was not a big accommodation. The staff was very well prepared. They knew what they had and knew what to tell me. They did well, and I liked what they told me and what I saw."

"My mom moved in. It's very nice, and it's like a renovated ranch house. It has about eight residents and they have memory care problems. They eat together in the kitchen. The staff seems caring, and the menu sounds good. The food smells good. They each have individual rooms and they share two bathrooms. They play a lot of music, there are hand-eye coordination activities, they do crafts, and they're going to make cookies tomorrow. Today they had a Christmas party for them. They provided them with Santa hats, and it was very lively and very nice."

"Memory Care Living is a small community. It specializes in memory care. The staff is excellent. Don probably requires most of the care out of the twelve people that were there, and they are very accommodating to him. There are two main baths, and some rooms have private baths. "

"Sunrise was very beautiful and decorated really well but over-the-top expensive. "

"All the people who lived at Sunrise seemed very happy. The director knew every single person's name. He loved his job. The residents all loved him too. They had happy hour every day. The place was not as clean but the staff really won me over. At the time of my visit, they were painting and doing some repairs. "

"I had the opportunity to visit Delaney at the Green during their Grand Opening celebration. The warmth welcome of the management teams and staffs made the guest feels at home. I'm was so impressed with independent living units/apartment. Each unit offers unique layout with state of the art amenities. The units are perfect for seniors who demand perfection. The lobby is so welcoming and truly represent a high end senior's living. facility. "

"It was full, happy, and had a big chandelier and a big game room on the side with people playing Scrabble near the fireplace. It was a beautiful place to walk into. Your first impression is "Wow, what a great place!" The layout was fantastic, the rooms were beautiful and very much like apartments as opposed to little rooms. They're one-bedrooms with a kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, and bedroom. The food was wonderful and made with the elderly in mind. The chef comes out and talks. When I was there, they had carolers come in whosang a lot of old songs and a few winter and Christmas songs. They were considerate of the religious groups."

"Wynwood was wonderful. Everybody there seemed happy. One of the personnel was really enthusiastic about the place. You could tell she loved what she did. If Wynwood were closer, I wouldn't hesitate to put my mother there. "

"A warm and caring environment for our mother. It is so peaceful! Having everything on one level along with a beautiful and safe outdoor space makes it a perfect place for mom. The staff all understand how to best deal with dementia patients. There are always different activities going on, and they are able to offer programs that best meet the resident's level of functionality. There are family events so celebrating the holidays or mothers/fathers day is enjoyable. We tried home care and other facilities, but Arden Court of Whippany has been perfect for mom. We are so glad she is there. "
