My mother came here for some short term rehab after she had a knee replacement. She was in alot of pain, but the nursing staff (specifically one named Susan) was always so helpful and caring. She helped my mother throughout the whole rehab process as it was her first time. If she ever needed rehab again , which hopefully she doesn't, we will definitely go back!

My Mom was in this place for back surgery rehab. If I read these reviews, before she went, SHE WOULD NEVER HAVE WENT. She was there from Feb. 28, 2020 - April 8, off and on,because she contracted COVID THERE. She was SENT BACK AND FORTH , to Mt. Auburn for first pain mgmt. then to treat COVID. She WAS MOVED FROM HER ROOM, WHERE SHE WAS SHARING WITH NURSING DIRECTOR'S , JACKIE, MOTHER- IN -LAW, AND WE WERE NEVER TOLD -WHY SHE WAS MOVED. SHE PASSED ON APRIL, 14, 2020 FROM COVID, JUST 4 DAYS SHY OF HER 80TH BIRTHDAY. IN THIS PLACE, HER POCKETBOOK WAS - STOLEN AND NEVER RECOVERED. 2 YEARS LATER, THIS JULY,I GOT A CALL, FROM " JACKIE" - HER WALLET WAS " FOUND". LIVED THE NIGHTMARE AGAIN, HAVING TO GO RETRIEVE IT. STILL WAITING, AFTER 3 PHONE CALLS, FOR MEDICAL RECORDS. NEED I GO ON ???
Just 4 hours was all it took, that was enough to know to get out

This place is terrible,my father who is 84 yrs old was taken here after being discharged from Mass General Hospital, Boston with Covid-19. He spent 15 days there and barely escaped going to ICU (Great people at MGH) Because of Covid no visitors were allowed at Neville which was fine, obviously I can understand that so I figured I'd just call him. So on his first night (Friday) I called 3 time when he first got there, The First time, my father had no water. The Second time my father wet himself a little probably because they had recently removed a catheter The Third time, he had been in bed for a few hours and nobody took the time to help him turn on the TV. After that they stopped answering the phone. Imagine your father is taken there at 84 yrs old and you can't go in to see him and nobody will answer the automated phone system for an hour? I ended up leaving one of the Directors a nasty voice mail message because I was so worried about my father being in this place. There was no therapy for him the whole weekend Sunday night his TV and his roommates TV stopped working. It was a good thing that I brought him crackers too as the food was not good either. This was just in 2 days. I know it could've been worse, and I am just happy that my father is still alive thanks to MGH. My conclusion is that this place is a waste of time and money they did very little for him and that is why I wanted him out of there as soon as possible.

I have been here since Friday. It is now Tuesday. I have not seen a doctor yet. She was supposed to be here Monday. She never showed up. My meds are all messed up. The communication is difficult. The facility smells like urine and stool. I would not send my dog here

My mother has been in and out of Neville for the past couple of months. My mother has a lot of health issues, dementia, internal bleeding, ect. While in the custody of The Neville Center in Cambridge Mass, the facility lost her teeth, half of her clothes and came home with an open wound under a compression sock. Absolutely horrible care.

I only saw the grounds of Neville Manor. The rooms were small, and it’s a well maintained but old building. It’s close to the city, which people would probably like. It seems like you need to have good mobility skills as there’s a lot of walking. The community is fine.

I am a short term resident of the rehab area. Staff is very helpful & nice. Rooms were pleasant & cleaning was sufficient. Food was a continuing problem--I use a low carb diet as diabetic control & the kitchen did not understand it at all. I kept getting starches & surgary deserts etc. Cooking in general was also wretched. I once had to ask what an omelet was on my plate--it looked like a waffle. Once I was serve a piece of fish with absolutely nothing else on the plate. Couldn't they put some green vvegies also?

My step father was there at Neville Center getting rehabilitation care. They had like separate areas for rehab, long term, and short term care. The staff was helpful. That is my favorite facility out of all of the facilities that he has been in. The rooms were very nice. I didn't eat there, but he likes the food very much. That was one of the only things that he really had any control over. They get to choose their own food from the menu, and he liked that a lot. They had kind of the nursing home activities, but he wasn't really interested in being part of that, so I didn't really pay much attention to it. The cleanliness of the facility really impressed me the most.

Everything looks okay when you walk in but... My mother was there for one month and I found the staff to be very nice. However, the food was quite salty and very bland. My mother was constipated and nothing was done unless I brought to their attention. It seems that they respond to issues brought to their attention but Neville staff not proactive in its approach to care. Any time I showed the staff something that was of concern to me they responded well and quickly and was very accommodating. I wonder though what would happen if I did not visit almost every day.

I went to Neville Place for a visit when I was looking for a facility for my parents. They had pretty much almost everything. They have an arts and crafts studio. The staff are friendly and their services seemed really good. I like the facility in general. The building and the garden was really nice, but it was a little too expensive and the apartments itself were very small for my parents.

It was necessary for our family to put my father in law in home where he could be cared for and I must say that the Neville Manor gave him the care that we would have given him at home. The place was always kept clean and we felt my father in law received the best care from the entire staff. It was a comfort to all of us knowing that he was given the best of care. I would recommend this place to anyone that has to put a family member in a home.

My Nana lived for probably a little under a year at Neville Place. She was over ninety years old before she moved to an assisted living. She didn't want to have to move but realized she had to. I think it was nicer than many assisted livings. Her apartment had a bedroom, a bathroom, and a longer room in between that placed the living room on one end and the kitchen on the other. The hallway door opened onto the kitchen. The apartment felt like a home and not a room. She had a window that faced Fresh Pond which she commented on liking a few times. She wanted to go on walks around the pond but didn't have the energy. Still it would be a nice features for others considering living there. The halss were quiet although residents occasionally passed by. I know my Nana was happy to talk with people at dinner. The meals left a little to be desired, but I think the social interaction made her happy. The staff always seemed friendly. It seemed like they cared. It's a pretty good option if assisted living is what you want. I wasn't particularly impressed, but it certainly seemed nicer than what I imagine most to be, although I haven't know many other nursing home to base it on. I've seen three other nursing homes for other people and this was definitely the nicest of those.
