Family members were not adequately informed of medical developments, despite being present, involved, and advocating for the patient. Critical information was withheld or delayed, contributing to fear that unsafe or inappropriate actions were occurring without oversight.

I have to say that this facility by far is the worst yet! The staff are friendly during the day but at night it’s hard to get assistance from anyone. The nursing assistants are sleeping in patients rooms at night and the halls are like a ghost town. The facility itself appears to be beautiful but I have actually lived on premises for the past 3 months and there’s roaches throughout the room. Meal trays are left in the room once empty until the next meal serving. Most of the staff are kind but yet still so unprofessional.I would not refer this facility for anyone I love. There is no structure there with the staff. From what I’ve observed the management sucks!!!

The facility housed my grandfather and did a very, very poor job keeping up with his upkeep. For starters, they put shoes onto his feet that were probably a size too small. Because of that, he had blisters on the bottoms of his feet, which both because infected. Once infected, they did nothing to inform our family of the ailment - it was only seen after we visited our family doctor. The facility had a strange odor about it and the nurses within the facility seemed unwilling to go out of their way to help. They only offered their services to you when it was absolutely necessary. I understand that it is not an easy job to run and maintain a nursing center. But I would not recommend Chateau Terrebonne to ANYONE - they did their best to make sure that my grandfather's final days were some of the worst of his life. To me, that's a sad thing when one considers the steep price that they charged to take care of the man.
