Brookdale Murray

We toured the Brookdale Murray's assisted living facility for my mother. It was nice, everybody was very friendly, and they showed us all the different living areas that they had. I think they have a library and what they call a movie theater room. We saw the different styles of rooms that they had, too. The tour was pretty thorough. We saw the dining area, which was very nice. I know she gave us some cookies that they had made, too, and they were delicious, so the food there is probably good. You could tell that the place was older, but it was clean. It wasn't brand new, and the decor looked a little dated, but it's more of what the elderly people like anyway. They have different-sized rooms, but the one that my mom would be able to afford was one of the smaller rooms. She's only one person, so there's plenty of room for her, especially since she can't get around cleaning and doing things like that. The bathrooms were spacious for access. It has wide doors in case someone needs a wheelchair. I think that the rooms were a good size for what someone would need. The units have their own little kitchen areas, too. The facility's dining area was restaurant style, so you go in and sit down, and they come and bring your plate and drink.

I visited Brookdale Murray. They had remodeled apartments, and they were nice. It was very clean, very nice, and all carpeted, indoor and outdoor. It was a nice place. The dining area was very nice. It looked like a regular restaurant. It was kept up. The staff was super good, very outgoing, and told you everything that went on. They've got a movie theater and a library. They have places there that the people can lock their apartments, go outside, and smoke. There are places where they can have one dog and one cat. They have to keep the dog on a leash when they go down the hallway to go outside. They do a good job. All the patients that I met there were very happy.

There are several different room types to choose from. The food is great and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. There are so many different activities to do each day and the community as a whole is managed very well.

I toured Brookdale Murray yesterday. The town of Murray, Kentucky is the kind of town I'm looking for, small and pretty much a low-crime area. The amenities there are equal to some of the higher-priced locations I've looked at. The staff was good. It's an old building. The dining area was very good, well done. It was spacious enough. I think they only have 40 residents. The rooms are a little small, but the layout is good. The place has a cordial and friendly atmosphere. I feel welcomed in that community.

The tour I had with Brookdale Murray was a very nice experience. We enjoyed it. They were very informative, showed us around, and talked us through a lot of things, and explained to my mother about the daily activities and everything. It sounds like a very, very nice and comprehensive assisted living facility. It's a very, very clean building, and everything was well kept up and maintained. No bad odors or anything like that. So, it was just a pleasant experience. It had a nice atmosphere and the residents were all very nice, seemed happy, and friendly. Everybody we met was very nice and informative, and pleasant to be around too.

I chose Brookdale Murray because it's close to my kids. Their facilities seem to be good, and it seems to be a nice community. The people and the staff are very nice. I picked a two-bedroom apartment. They have a lot of games and card games, which is what I like to do, and when I was there they were out on a field trip and I like that. I was there for lunch, and the food was good. The menu was also very nice. The person who gave me the tour was very nice and very informative. Everything looks very nice, clean, and organized. The town is right there, and they have a bus that takes you to church on Sundays and stuff like that. There's nothing you could want there. They give you everything you need. The staff who helped me was very good and friendly.
