"After researching and visiting several assisted living/memory care facilities, we moved my mother with Alzheimer's to Trustwell Living Mission Springs nearly 9 months ago. We have been very pleased. As Mom's condition has changed, it has been easy to work with both executive and direct care staff to make changes in her care plan. We visit frequently and have never arrived to find anything concerning. The apartment is very adequate with enough space and privacy. The common areas are kept very clean and orderly. Though there have been some staff transitions, there are always some activities during the day. Mom is very comfortable with her care staff, and they relate to her very well. The community is not enormous, and this has been a benefit. The surroundings are open and floor plan simple. Even though Mom is often confused, she has been able to navigate her surroundings without too much difficulty. Mostly, we just appreciate the staff. They are ever present and communication is very good."

"I tour St Anthony's; I like they have all levels of care, The views from the apartments were beautiful and spotless. The food is incredible. the activities and exercise were great always had residents busy. The staff was so friendly and nice."

"My relative will move into Trustwell Living of Overland Park. The woman who called me, whose name was Beth, was like a breath of fresh air. The whole place is clean, and it doesn't smell bad. It's awesome. They serve three meals a day. They have a patio and a safe walking path for your loved one to go out and walk on."

"It's quiet there at Brookdale Wornall Place, even though it's kind of in a busy area. It doesn't have anything behind it. There are fields there. Even though you're not very far off the road, it still feels like you're out in the country. The room has a small kitchen and a refrigerator. We looked at a couple of one-bedrooms. The staff who toured me around was very knowledgeable. It seems like he has been in the business for several years. He was very patient. I had my dog with me, and he took that well, too. The place was clean. I didn't smell anything. They got friendly staff. When you walk in, they got a large entryway. You don't have to walk up any stairs or anything. I noticed that they got ramps. We took the elevator, and we took the stairway, too. They have an underground, which was nice."

"The Atriums was beautiful. It had really lovely dining facilities. The rooms were beautiful. It had lots of activities. It had a van that transports residents to appointments. The people were really friendly. It had a pool and an outdoor space to walk your dog. It had a gardening space. It had all kinds of wonderful things. They had this upper level that had wall-to-floor windows that overlooked all the trees, and it had penthouse rooms for assisted living, and rooms attached to a patio. They had all kinds of different options for living. They had lots of staff. I saw the menu and it looked great and had lots of options for food. It's close to everything. It was close to the hospitals, shopping, and pharmacies."

"We toured Sunrise of Leawood and got some information. The person who assisted us was very helpful and very friendly. The facilities looked very nice. So, we got a good impression of the place."

"The Ashton on the Plaza was very nice. The location is great because it's in the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri. The inside of the building is pretty new. It's made for assisted living really. The only thing about it is that the cost is really pretty high and I didn't feel that my friend would be able to afford that. It was a great place. The food was wonderful. The staff that I met was nice. The rooms were very nice. They were roomy enough. It was very attractive. They were different as far as the floor plan was concerned. They had one- and two-bedrooms. One of the things that I think was really good is that they invited us to come out for a visit, even if my friend was in the hospital. As a friend, I could come out and look and see the place so I could be able to tell her my experience. They also offered and came to pick me up to take me there and bring me back home. I had lunch with them, that's why I know that the food was good. The dining area was very nice. It was not as large, but certainly large enough to comfortably seat all of the residents that they would have."

"The representatives with whom we toured at Brookdale Overland Park 119th were very thorough. They also had so many amenities that fit my parents. It was just a very active community, and my parents are very active, very engaged, very social, and want to be involved in everything. That is exactly what this place has to offer. If you go there, you don't have to do those things, but the amount of activities and things to do, and the availability to get around town, just really appealed to my parents. The people that they engaged with on the tour were so excited to meet them and couldn't wait for them to move in. They were telling them to come see their apartments, or that they'll love the second floor, or the fact that you can have a dog and a cat there. Everybody was just super excited, so I don't know how you couldn't fall in love with it. The apartments were beautiful, and we saw all the different options. They had a 1-bedroom apartment, a 1-bedroom with a den, and a 2-bedroom apartment. They just had a wide variety, and within that range, they had different types. For instance, they had 2-bedroom apartments, but they had different types, so they had a lot of options. They provide a guaranteed two meals a day, but it is on the honor system, so if you go down for three, they're not going to."

"After spinal surgery and a stroke, my mother went to Brookdale Overland Park for a month of intensive rehabilitation. Her experience was terrific. The nurses, therapists, and doctors on staff were thorough, professional, compassionate, and encouraging. They took the time to get to know her, and encouraged her in a safe and realistic way. She emerged after one month, competent and confident, and ready to return to independent living. In addition, the facility provided excellent activities and self care services like happy hour, football game viewing parties, and a hair salon, making her time there not just productive but also enjoyable. Finally, the administrative and support staff provided me with the information I needed with regard to finances and continuing care upon discharge from the facility. Overall, I would give Brookdale Overland Park a double thumbs up. We loved everything about it!"

"My overall experience at Garden Villas of Lenexa was excellent. The director contacted me twice beforehand and said that he would meet us at the door, which he did. He took us around as we needed. My brother-in-law doesn't walk well, so he got a wheelchair for him. He was wonderful. He showed us a two-bedroom, two-bath (which is the only thing we are looking for), and we loved it. It was bright, clean, and big. So now my sister and her husband have a difficult decision, but they have to wait and see a couple more. We saw their dining area. It was after lunch, and so everything was being cleaned up. It looked like the staff members were doing what they're supposed to do. Chairs were wiped down, and tables were wiped down. It looked very clean and healthy to me."

"My mother has moved into Brookdale Leawood State Line. It's nicely furnished and it's homey, but yet it's been updated and clean. I like all the staff very much. So far, everybody's been friendly and helpful."

"My mother-in-law is at Vintage Park, and I think it's a good place for her. Her room is clean, she plants in the garden area, they make things, and she plays Scribbage. The food is not bad, she eats there, and doesn't eat out much. They gather out in the front area a lot, and they have family day. It's a perfect place for us. The staff is nice, and we get along"
