My husband was at Eastern Star Masonic Home for about a month. I thought it was okay. He was at that point in time extremely dependent, but he enjoyed getting out and talking to some of the people while he was there, and he got some rehab. I could come and go whenever I wanted. The other nice thing was that I could bring in his dog. I would just bring her over with me. Their food was just average. Some things were good and some things that weren't good depending on the menu. Other than that, it was good, and he was satisfied. Most of the staff were pretty good. My husband was lucky enough to have some of the staff work with him, so at least they got to know him, and he got to know them. Overall, it was okay. He got better. He was happy to have been there because he did make progress within that time frame

Eastern Star has a nursing home, independent living, an Alzheimer’s unit, and all within one facility so they would never have to move. You can have two bedroom and one bedroom, and the nursing home just had one big room with a nice bathroom on the side. A few people don’t have their own bathroom. You can bring your own dresser and TV, and they have a twin size bed. They have Bingo, cards, singing, they celebrate birthdays, and kids from school comes and do performances. I have eaten there a couple of times. The food is very good, and you have 3 or 4 choices in each category. I know some residents and they like it there.

Eastern Star Masonic Home was quite full. They were very busy with the residents who were active. They have daily activities with the activity director. They’ll like to go shopping on one day or go fishing, just different things. I didn’t have much interaction with the staff but they seemed to be responsive to the calls that came for them. Their meals were well-rounded and balanced. It seemed like a pleasant and very friendly place and there were people sitting in the sun. The grounds are beautiful. They have a lot of flowers and bird activity outside the residents’ windows. The rooms and apartments looked clean and neat.

I really loved the feel of this place. They even have a fountian with a goldfish pond and a wii. The staff was very nice and they really seemed to care about the residents. There meals were nice and the dinning room was a casual setting and everything looked pretty clean. I felt alot better about her going there after visiting her and seeing how happy she was. So happy she ended up here and not some of the otheres that i have been too!

Eastern Star cared for my grandmother in her final years on this side of eternity. They were good to her there. She went from assisted living to the Alzheimer's unit while living there, as her dementia increased. My only complaint was they moved her over too soon, in my opinion, so that someone else could have her private room (opinion may not be fact). In general, the staff was great, and her years there were good.

This Facility has a genuine warm atmosphere and homely feel. Equipped with several different assisted living options for your loved ones such as residential living and total assisted care. The eastern star Masonic Home also has an attractive courtyard with a running water fish pond and atrium. Throughout the building there is also lots to do including its own resident run thrift shop, computer lab, and yes even a wii game system for everyone to enjoy. The dining in this home has a lot of choices I noticed and there staff was very helpful throughout the process. I will be sure to recommend this place for years to come and I really enjoyed my visit. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff for all of there support during this difficult decision process.
