I live in Fox Ridge Manor, and the experience has been good. I came from a much nicer place in Florida, but this was the nicest one in the area. This is as nice as you're going to get around here. My room is a large living area with a small line of kitchen cabinets. There is a stove and a refrigerator across the front. There is a closet. It goes out into the hallway, and it goes down into the bedroom on the right. The bathroom is on the left, and there's an air conditioning unit at the end of the hall. The food is good. It is not as good as I was used to, but I can't find anything around this area that is any better. It is mostly home-cooked food. They have a lot of activities. They have an activities director, and they always have something going on. They play all kinds of games. They play cornhole and have a trivia contest in the afternoon. They play bingo three days a week, and the residents get together and play whatever they like. The staff is good. They're a little short on staff, but it is true everywhere. The building is a little older.

I cannot say enough about Fox Ridge Manor. Mother has been there about a month now. She had lived alone around 2 years since my father died. She is a changed person! She gets out and socializes with everyone and has made many new friends. She eats well and says the food is wonderful. She has no worries about her house and feels safe and secure there. I too am more at ease with someone there at all times. Everyone there has been so helpful especially Vicki. And, Mother raves about the workers. Thank you everyone for peace of mind for both of us!

Our Mom has been at Fox Ridge since September 2014. She was falling at home, not eating, generally having a hard time w/ ADLs. Since she has been at Fox Ridge her appetite has improved, her confusion has decreased. I have found the staff to be fantastic not only w/ her but also w/ her family which is scattered about the US. We are very pleased w/ the care and attention she receives. We feel Fox Ridge was the right choice.

I thought Fox Ridge Manor is the best in terms of general atmosphere. It was in a country setting which was nice. I thought the staff was friendly, and the whole setup was more home-like and less institutional looking than some of the others that I visited. The room has minimal in terms of kitchen facilities. There is no regular stove anymore. But that is to be expected especially in terms of food preparation. This facility takes one or two trips a week to either a shopping store or possibly an attraction. They also play a game with several of the residents involved all seated around a table.

I did find a beautiful facility in Vincennes. Fox Ridge Manor was a wonderful place but my father just said he was not ready for that yet. The little apartment was spacious. They had a laundry facility that was very nice. We were able to have lunch with them which I was quite impressed and met some of the residents. The food was good. The dining room was pleasant. The dining room was clean and it was very nice and it looks like you're at a restaurant. They had lots of activities. One of the things that I thought was neat was they monthly chose a restaurant to eat in and they took them out to eat and it wasn't just local, they went to Evansville. It was really nice.

I had my mom in Fox Ridge Manor for respite care for a little while. This was our choice because it was the closest one to me. The facility was very nice and they were really good. Their rooms were all nice as well. She had a living room, a small kitchen with a table, a bedroom, and a bathroom. There was a door that went out to a patio where they had tables and chair and it was really nice. When I first took my mom down there, we did eat there and it was good. She also had enjoyed most of her meals during her stay there. The staff was really nice and helpful. They would take their residents to Wal-Mart shopping. They would go out to eat. They would have church and communion, etc. They did have a lot of different activities. They have chair exercises, bingo, movies and popcorn.
