I can't say enough good things about North Woods Village at Edison Lakes. Our Mother has lived here for a year and a half and she receives the same amazing care as she did during her first week. The staff are always kind and patient with her. I have experience with placing other family members into other memory care facilities and thought they did a great job until we found North Woods in Mishawaka. There is no comparison! Thank you for taking such awesome care of our Mother.

The rooms are great! Ashlea and her crew keep everything exceptionally clean! Ashley at the desk greets you with a big smile when you come in the door! Deejra and Cristy are the best at keeping everything running wonderfully! All of the staff take such good care of my mom. I feel confident even when I’m not here that they are taking great care of her! You don’t have to feel bad about asking for anything!

When we started looking for a memory care facility for my husband, our children and I visited every one. We all agreed that North Woods Village was the best. His room is cleaned frequently, and the meals are nutritious. I know he's safe and secure, and he's well cared for. Not only does the staff care for the residents, but also for their families with smiles, greetings, and hugs in times of stress. We made the right choice.

I cannot recommend North Woods Village highly enough for my father's memory care. The staff genuinely cares for each resident, providing compassionate and attentive support. The staff is very friendly and patient with the residents, as well as visiting family. Ashley, Cristy, and Deejra always greet me with a smile and go out of their way to make me feel at home when I visit. The rooms and the whole facility are kept very clean. The inner courtyard is warm, inviting, safe, and readily accessible to residents that want to go outdoors when the weather permits. I recommend that anyone looking for memory care give North Woods Village a try.

North Woods Village is a beautiful facility, both inside and out. The resident rooms are spacious and the common areas are well furnished and enjoyable to sit in. The inner courtyard is landscaped with flowers, shrubs and trees, and offers several areas for residents to sit, including a gazebo. The housekeeping staff do an excellent job of keeping resident rooms and common areas clean. Well-balanced meals not only look good...they taste good! The staff are amazing...and one can tell that they are passionate about the residents as well as their families. I would definitely recommend North Woods to anyone looking for a memory care facility.

Mom has lived at NWV just over a year. The rooms are very spacious with nice, large bathrooms. The entire facility very clean and well cared for. The Courtyard is especially beautiful and great for fresh air visits. The staff is very caring and attentive.

Rooms are spacious, many with nature views. Three separate “neighborhoods” with dining and living areas. Beautiful landscaping. Varied activities. Attentive nursing and housekeeping staff.

The building, inside and out, is very well maintained. The resident's rooms are cleaned on a regular basis as are common areas. The courtyard in beautiful, safe for residents and also very well maintained. The front office staff are very friendly but more important, they are responsive. I have found them to be very organized which I very much appreciate. Overall, the nursing/care staff are attentive and kind to the residents. I believe the care is genuine. My mom has lived elsewhere in assisted living, and we have visited nearly all other communities in this area, and I am very satisfied with our decision to have her living at Northwoods Village.

The rooms are very nice and plenty room and the bathroom are very big. The staff are very nice and go out of their way to help. They have plenty of activities for everyone .

I went to North Woods Village at Edison Lakes. The facility is beautiful. It's arranged in a circle, so I'm not sure if the residents can find their way around really well, but I suppose that there would be aides that would be able to steer them in the right direction. They have separate eating areas for each of the sections. There are three different sections, and residents eat at stagger times. The staff I met were very nice. Everybody was very friendly. I was impressed that they have a chapel, and they have a priest that comes in to say mass. The staff showed me one of the bigger rooms. It was big enough for a full-sized bed. They have a waiting list, too, so I couldn't get a room for right now.

This facility is so amazing and kind. They made my Grandma feel at home in the last months of her life. She had Parkinson’s disease and was declining quickly before we got her in there! Everyone was so helpful, and genuine! They really make you and your loved one feel like family! The rooms are nice and spacious, specifically set up for your loved one. The courtyard is where my grandma spent a lot of her time, with the beautiful flowers and fresh air! We came and visited her almost everyday! I appreciate how much care and respect this staff has for their tenants.

I like North Woods Village at Edison Lakes that is all memory care and that it doesn't have a nursing home connected with it. That was the thing I liked best. The inside seems very airy and spacious with high ceilings. It's modern and relatively new. The staff was very knowledgeable, very open about talking about their services, and very helpful. The reason I like it is that it's just memory care and they specialize in that.

The entire staff is very caring and attentive! They show such love, not only to my mom, but also to our family. The staff here is wonderful. They are kind, friendly, fun and very supportive. Keep me informed on meds, mood changes, eating habits, etc. Very much like family. I also like that there are so many daily activities. Especially enjoy the music times. We visited the fairly new North Woods (North Woods Village at Edison Lakes) for a veterans seminar and the director took us through the place. It's a new community, so everything was very ship-shape. They had done some specific things for memory care, like the bathroom wall by the toilet was a different color than the other walls, so that someone with memory care issues would recognize the toilet because of it being different. I thought it was remarkable that they thought of that. The community rooms were conversational and small. They did not have a central dining room. Each pod had their own dining room to keep the group sizes small. It was all very much geared to memory care, as it should be.

We visited North Wood Village, and they were very helpful. We were trying to make a decision if we were going to move my father to a different facility. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were nice, but they didn’t feel that my father would probably be able to move in. We were afraid that maybe he needed too much help. The grounds seems very clean, quiet, and peaceful.
