My mother in law is in a nursing home right now called Frankfort Healthcare. It’s in good shape, it's clean all the time, and the nurses take care of everybody well. They have activities like bingo and singers coming in

We've chosen Helia Healthcare in West Frankfort for my mom. She's moved in already. We chose it because she had been in there before, that exact facility. It's two blocks away from me and the cost is average. We're not able to go in as far as the rooms. It's been five or six years since I was over there. The rooms were aged. The staff, I think, are under a lot of pressure now. They're trying to help, but there are some things we're not satisfied with, and I realized they're under a lot of pressure. We're not able to go in, we communicate basically by telephone with my mother, and that's hard to do. They call to update only about the COVID situation because they are required to, otherwise they don't.
