My father has been in the Alzheimer's unit for about 3 years. We rotate daily visits so we can stay on top of his care. My mother was in an Alzheimer's unit elsewhere, and we have visited others, so I am familiar with local units. I am pleased with his care. The older, longtime staff members are attentive and caring to patients. The unit and his room is always clean, something I'm a stickler about. My only complaint is that some young healthcare workers who are just starting out don't seem to really care about patients. I see that at most nursing homes I have visited. I wish they would learn more about empathy from longtime healthcare workers.

Marigold Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is a good skilled nursing care center for people with Alzheimer's. They keep the residents busy with puzzles and games, like balloon toss and such. They also keep my dad's room very clean.
