We went to Carriage Crossing of Bloomington yesterday. It's very good. It's very clean, it looks new, and it's very organized. It's very bright and cheery. It's excellent. Everybody was friendly and knowledgeable. It's a very good visit. The facilities were excellent, too. It looked like a home. We saw the menu, and we were very impressed with the menu.

About The Carriages of Bloomington in Bloomington, Illinois
Since opening in March 2018, we have become a well-respected senior living community in the Bloomington-Normal area, offering Independent/Assisted Living and Memory Care services. Our exceptional care is led by a Team of compassionate people who regard our residents as family. Our campus features a "Main Street" design with all resident-use common areas lining the central corridor of the community. Along Main Street you will find a beauty salon; a large multi-purpose room; an inviting theater; a chapel; a bistro where residents gather for socializing by the fireplace; a library; a billiards room; two beautifully landscaped courtyards; and a dining room with large windows that look onto a back patio. Truly, at Carriage Crossing Senior Living in Bloomington, we want to provide you with a warm, welcoming environment where you can continue to Live the Life You Love! As you plan for the future, we appreciate having the opportunity to share information about what sets our community apart from others you may be considering. At Carriage Crossing, we have nursing services that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether it be a registered nurse, licensed practical nurse or certified nursing assistant, there is always a member of our qualified team to assist with care needs. Also, each staff member also participates in a structured dementia-specific orientation prior to working with any resident in the community, regardless of the role they are filling. We want everyone to have the ability to best communicate and care for those who cannot care for themselves! We also offer made-from-scratch, restaurant-style dining; a fulfilling life enrichment program with opportunities for those with many interests; housekeeping & laundry services; and complimentary transportation for medical and personal needs in the Bloomington-Normal area. EmpowerMe Wellness is also on-site to assist our residents - providing therapy services (Physical, Occupational, and/or Speech Therapy). We also partner with Erin Ruud, In-Home Medical Group - providing on-site nurse practitioner services for those residents interested. Carriage Crossing of Bloomington was very clean and new. The staff seemed engaged with the residents. The person who gave us the tour was very patient and knowledgeable. There were lots of choices, and they all looked nice. There was a salon, a theater, a little cafe, and an activity room.

Mom has chosen Carriage Crossing of Bloomington for herself and she will be moving in. The place was not institutional, it had a homey environment. It was very bright. People were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the services they offer are much better than the other ones we looked at. The studio apartment that we looked at was perfectly set up. It had a roll-in shower, so Mom doesn't have to worry about slipping and falling when getting in and out of her shower. Everything was at her level to reach because she's going to be in a wheelchair or a scooter-type device. She won't be cooking in her apartment, they will be providing her meals three times a day, but she will have a microwave if she wants to heat up a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. They had activities listed by the month, and she could participate in anything she wanted to. From what we saw with the food when we were there, everything looked very good. The facility was laid out such that everything was in a perfect square, so everything was easy to find and close to each other, and Mom would never get lost.

I was able to visit the Carriage Crossing of Bloomington. The tour here was a lot better than the other place because I was in communication with the person who gave us the tour from the day that we made the reservation. She reached out to me and confirmed our appointment, and she sent me an email with all their information. And when we got there, she met us at the door. They were having, like a Spirit week, and it was Pajama Day yesterday, so everybody was in their pajamas. The place was beautiful, they had a very pretty closed-off courtyard. The place is really big and you have pretty easy access to every wing of the facility. We saw a room and it seemed like there were more options for private rooms there like a studio, a one bedroom, and a two bedroom, and they were all very nice. It was like a nice hotel. They had someone coming in there to play music for the residents, and she's playing the piano. We also saw the dining halls and the public areas for people to be in like the gym and physical therapy area. It was honestly a nice place. The staff who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable and prepared.

We visited Carriage Crossing of Bloomington which was very nice. It's very well laid out for the residents, it's modernized, and the rooms are nice. It looks newer than some of the other places that we looked at. The staff was nice, and the food was good when we had lunch there one day and met with the administrators. We were there for a couple of hours, we talked more about the prices, what the rooms look like, and the type of care that my mother will get. They have a cafe, a little church, and different things like that. The staff we met with was very nice and the building itself was very pretty.

I went to Carriage Crossing of Bloomington. The director was very nice. It was much bigger than the other place. It didn't seem to have as homey of an atmosphere, but I feel like it's a very nice facility. They had a lot of amenities. For our needs, it was just too big.

We're moving mom into Carriage Crossing of Bloomington. We chose it because it's a newer facility and it's well maintained. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and very informative. Also, it's right down the street from my mom's church, so she likes that. The staff impressed me. The amenities were great. It's well maintained, new and bright. They have a salon, a gym, a movie theater, a lot of common areas, and outdoor space.

I visited the assisted living and memory care at Carriage Crossing of Bloomington. The tour was great. I saw everything, and they answered all my questions. Because of Covid restrictions, I couldn't join for a meal. The dining area was great. They had all these measures in place to slow the spread. The tables were spaced apart and that seemed great. The rooms were very new and modern. Because people bring in their own furniture, the individual rooms fit their style. The shared spaces did not feel old. It's just very fresh and clean feeling. I appreciate that they have these shared spaces that really feel kind of like a village, like there are different storefronts. There are outdoor spaces that are enclosed, so people can spend time outdoors. There was just a lot of staff around all the time. You can tell that people get help as soon as they need it. It's not just like medical help or anything. It's for basic things, like one guy lost his cell phone while I was there. They had two staff members helping him find the cell phone. Everyone was just super friendly and cheerful. It made me feel better about the fact that I eventually will have to go live in assisted living. It just seems like a pleasant place to live. I wouldn't mind living there.

Carriage Crossing of Bloomington was excellent. I liked the floor plan because it was less confusing on where everything is at. It was very clean. It was modern, but I would say that place was homey. They have Catholic service, plus somebody would deliver communion during the week, and I really liked that. That place was my favorite. They have a wellness center, a movie theater, and a beauty salon. The staff said that if they didn't like the food that was being prepared, they would accommodate them to give them something else, so I thought that was really good.
