I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother was in Ashley Manor. This place was a 10 as far as taking care of their people. The staff is qualified to deal with their residents. They are outstanding, and they care about their patients. The management is there for you. You don’t have to try to hunt them down or wait for a day or two for a callback, which I’d have to do before. The room is bright, cheery, and comfortable, and it has what they need.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I am a family member of a resident at Ashley Manor of Mountain Home, ID. My overall experience with this facility was very favorable. Initial research of the available facilities led us to use Ashley Manor as our first choice. Ashley Manor specializes in Alzheimer's and Dementia patients and the unique challenges associated with those diseases. The grounds of the facility are well kept. The young gentleman who is the maintenance worker for the property not only takes great care in making sure the grounds look nice, but also does a very nice job of updating the common areas, as well. The common areas "“ dining room, living room and kitchen "“ are open and bright with lots of sunshine. The residents' rooms are kept very clean and personalized by the families. Seasonal decorations also keep the facility from looking institutional. There is definitely a feeling of family. The staff and management of the facility appear to be well trained. I believe the residents get personal care there. The staff is very friendly and treats each resident, as well as family member, with respect and true caring. Meals are served at a large dining table and altered for those residents unable to eat a normal meal. During many of our visits, I noticed that little special things were done for the residents "“ fingernails painted, hair curled, seasonal craft projects completed. The staff even discussed the most recent football games with our family member. There was not a day gone by that we didn't witness the genuine smiles on the faces of the staff, even on days that were difficult for some of the residents. You could tell that the staff truly loved their jobs. Communication with the staff and was very easy. We believed they truly worked with us as we made a difficult transition in bringing our family member cross-country. This was a new and overwhelming situation for us and the staff and management were extremely helpful in minimizing the hardship and walking us through the entire process. As our family member improved, they also worked with us to move him to a new facility that was more of what he required. Overall, Ashley Manor is an excellent facility, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for quality, long term care for a loved one already suffering from memory/cognitive issues. This is a safe, caring facility that focuses on the dignity of the loved one. I would rate this facility a five star facility.
