I toured Veranda Senior Living at Paramount. It was okay. It was not out of the ordinary. The tour was disjointed though. I had an appointment and the woman who was supposed to give me the tour was not there. I don't know if it was the manager or the director but she sat me down and talked to me, and then another person at the front desk gave me the tour. I didn't feel like I was important enough, first of all, for the director to be there to meet with me, and second, for somebody else to meet with me and then turn me over to the front desk girl to do the tour. The rooms were small, expensive, and dark. The upkeep looked good. Everybody seemed to be pleasant. I didn't see any hiccups. I think everybody was happy. It was good.

My mother was in Veranda at Paramount assisted living for three years. Our overall experience was good. The downfall was COVID and the aftermath of COVID because of short of staff and we found that to be in all the other places that we visited (short of staff, people are not wanting to work). Overall, it was a good experience. They had fairly caring, loving workers. When she was in her last days, they had the most wonderful, caring, loving caregivers that cared about her. It's very beautiful, very clean, and fairly organized. We never had any problems financially or in that department. It was a good experience, especially the first two years, even during COVID. They kept them on lockdown, but that was OK. They kept them safe. Probably the last six months have been troubling only because COVID has affected them. I tried the food twice. When we first got there, the food was good and then they lost their cook and that was my mother's complaint and everybody's complaint. If I have a complaint, it's that the food is not good. They could use some help with the food. They said that it was nutritionally balanced, but it didn't always look nutritionally balanced. They were jampacked with activities. The activity director is a young man that truly adores the old people. He loves them. He keeps their mind active with word games, and he will give them a situation and then they have to figure out a way to get out of this situation, which truly keeps their mind going. They have game times, bingo, card games, and flower arrangement. They took them out to the grocery stores on a fairly regular basis once a week and the banks, until COVID hit, and that of course stopped. They're kind of picking that up now, doing that again, taking them out. Every month, there's a party of some sort. They have an Instagram account, and I wish I had known that earlier because my mother is all over Instagram, and she had a wonderful time. They had activities all the time. It's very festive. The activity director would decorate the place. It's a very beautiful place, and they kept the seniors going all the time with activities. They never ran out of things to do. My mother played the piano, too, so she would put on concerts. They brought in musicians and kids from different schools. They had some staff that if I could have, I would have thrown them out on their ear, very irresponsible young girls that just had no business working there. I requested a few times for those caregivers to stay away from my mom, especially this past weekend. They could do a little bit better with their hiring process of these kids because you shouldn't be there if you don't level people. They're grouchy sometimes, impatient and demanding.

We went to Veranda Senior Living at Paramount and toured their memory care. It's the closest one to us, so we liked the location. It was modern, clean, and they seemed to have a lot going on. The price was also right. One person took me around on my first tour and she was very helpful. She mentioned everything and answered my questions. Then when I went back to pick out a room, it was a gentleman who helped me. He was very suggestive about the rooms and helpful, too. They were both very nice. The rooms were very clean. They didn't have showers in them for safety reasons, which I liked. They got snacks for them, nurses on staff or a doctor that comes in, and transportation. For me, it was the best.

I do not recommend this awful place. My family that reside here was being taking care properly. She was always soak and no one would try so hard to change her, they would always says she refused but she is in Memory care and with a person who has dementia they have to be more skilled with their job. They just let her be and her room is always messy everytime I came visit her. I wouldn’t want to stay to this facility when it’s my time.. sad to say but staffed seems impatient, management seems cold doesn’t care. Oh one more thing food is awful and look nasty.

Veranda Senior Living at Paramount was absolutely beautiful. It seemed like they had good activities and good food. The apartments were nice. The people that lived there were out and talking to each other, participating in activities, and seemed very happy with the place. It's beautifully decorated. The staff seems to take a lot of pride in keeping everybody happy, so it's a really nice place. If I had to choose any of them that we saw, it would be my first choice.

It will be three weeks tomorrow since my dad moved into Veranda Senior Living at Paramount. I love the place, and he is so happy there. The staff is amazing. They are just so kind, and they've been so loving to me, my dad, and my family. The facility is clean, bright, and homey, and it doesn't smell institutional at all. I also like the location because we are Catholics, and it is just two minutes from the Catholic church. It's pretty much a straight drive for me down to Meridian to get to my dad. His room is just wonderful. It's not too small, it's not too big, and there's plenty of room for a double bed and his recliners. It's just a perfect size. They mounted the TV on the wall for us, so that's nice. The whole facility is so clean and so homey, and it seems like all the residents' rooms are kept nice. My dad said the food is good, and he's never complained about it. In the very beginning, he was spending a lot of time in his room, but we encouraged him to go out. Now that he has a walker and things that make him more comfortable, he goes out more. He had his nails painted for the first time and he liked it. They have activities from 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., and they only have an hour off for lunch.

We went on an in-person tour at Veranda Senior Living at Paramount. It was a really nice facility. We liked it and my mom liked it, but I really don't know why she backed out. She just couldn't give up her home. I thought the staff members were exceptional.

My husband is living in Veranda Senior Living at Paramount, and I'm trying to be there as well. He's been thriving and doing really well (as well as can be expected). He has a little apartment. It's extremely clean, it's very quiet, and the people that care for the patients are nice and knowledgeable. It's just a pleasant place to be, and when you walk in the door you know you're in a good place. They provide meals.

There is nothing more reassuring than knowing my loved one is in such great care. I visit at various times and the entire place is always clean, smells nice (which can be a challenge given the enviornment) and the care staff are always on the go. The food is also phenomenal. I can tell that everybody truly cares about the residents. I would highly recommend to anybody looking for a new home for their loved one.

The facilities and staff are fantastic, the quality rooms, security, and food services are some of the best in the Treasure Valley. They provide a true family & home environment. The building was built recently, so everything is new and top quality. Veranda is an asset to our Paramount Community.

Veranda was a smaller community. They had 38 rooms, which I like. However, I did not like the layout as much as I did at the other community. The people were nice but not quite as positive or interactive. Overall, the property was nice. They had a salon, a small chapel, a gymnasium or rec room, but I didn't like the layout.

Ever since the new management took over in November the place has gone down hill fast. They lost all the good original staff and it has gotten more and more messed up and dangerous. One resident was on the floor with a broken leg for 2 HOURS because of cutting caregivers so they can make more money. They evicted a couple in retaliation because their daughter filed complaints with the state. Be warned this is NOT the place for anyone! Oh and the food is TERRIBLE. Scary scary place.

Veranda Senior Living was very good. The rooms were very clean and neat, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The outside of the building was nice, pretty, and peaceful. They also had an area where the resident could garden.
