Life Care was very nice, and as home-like as such a large building can feel. The staff were obviously a little over-worked, but still very kind.

Life Care Center of Coeur d'Alene is a good place for dad. They have a very nice staff and they're very good about calling me and letting me know ahead of time before anything gets done. They all share a room and the rooms are very clean, but I think of it as a hospital. There are no chairs for a visitor to sit in, so you would have to go out to a visiting area. I can tell that they're shorthanded and they're trying their very best. For instance, their website says they have a beautician, but they do not. Their website says they have a barber for men, but they do not. They do not exercise the people. There's no physical therapist that takes them out walking anymore. They did it first for dad, and then they quit that, but again with the circumstances of today's day and age, they just can't get people to work.

This place appears to be nice don't be fooled. Like we was showers don't happen unless you hound them ring the buzzer for help it might be 1 hour or maybe not at all. There were a few nurses that was nice but there was one Paul who seemed a little rough my dad was there for therapy we stayed and kept a watchfully eye but one evening we decided to go home 5 hours later we came back and he was unable to talk or move the next day he died.We found him one time on the floor another time with his breathing air off and it moved asking for help. I came up out side looking threw window and saw and heard my dad then went in and then they were like we was just was in it must just happen but dad said it was like that for over a hour. Don't go there unless you are ready to say good by

My grandmother passed away in this facility and in less than 24 hours they had already thrown away all of the belongings that she had in her room. This is very inexcusable for this type of business. I would never recommend sending a family member or loved one to this facility
