The staff at Aiea Heights Senior Living is really good. We didn't get to see my mother's room though. We weren't allowed in because of COVID, but she says it's clean, and she's happy she has her own room. They don't really have amenities there that are usable right now. There is an outdoor area, but they don't get to go out and use it right now. She doesn't like the food. She said it doesn't have any taste and I think it's just because they have to be low salt and low fat and everything else. They have an activities/recreation person there. I think they've done arts and crafts, and I know they do a lot of exercises. Sometimes, they have people that come up and do some ukulele group/singing entertainment, but they have to stay outside, so they all gather by the front door and the entertainers would be entertaining outside in front of the window. There's a nice living area with a nice view, but there's not much else for them right now because they can't really go out anywhere. It's mostly just the living area that they go to, and their own room. Communication has been good, anytime she's needed anything they'd give us a call, or text me, or let me know. Sometimes they let me know that she needs more medications at the last minute. She likes the staff. The staff has been very nice to her, so she really enjoys being with them.
